Learn to politely say NO (at least some times) to all the "I wanna selfie with you" folks .... Just tell you are in a bit of rush to meet up with someone and you need to get going.

DO NOT take free rickshaw rides anywhere in India (especially, in tourist towns) ... usually, they will stop-over at some arts-n-crafts place or gem-stones seller, carpet & shawls seller etc. who will use high pressures sales tactics (or even astrology BS like your babies will be geniuses if you use such and such gemstones) on you and waste a couple of hours of your time before they let you go. The experience leaves a bad taste. The rickshaw driver gets his commissions regardless of whether you buy something or not. So it's not really free .... he gets his money & you pay with your valuable time.
We’ve taken tons of rickshaw rides so far and idea and haven’t experienced this! Also the Uber rickshaw app is really great and they always take us right to our destination when we book on there. We appreciate you looking out for us though 🙏🏼
