    This was helpful, thank you! I'm not sure if my tension was too loose, but the text block lays very flat. Does this stitch tend to lay flat?
    Could you also do similar videos to this one showing other stitches like a traditional kettle?

      Yes, it should lay pretty flat. It's only when you add adhesive and spine linings to the spine that you will get more of a structured, typical book spine.

      Good question! Yes, the sewing on the spine is actually how the cover is attached, so it's pretty and functional!
