first time I have ever seen something like this...amazing...you are a terrific teacher, using quiet speaking...thanks...keeps me interested!!! Might give this a try...have tons of beads I brought with me from Arizona....I used to make tiny mats using yarn and a empty thread spool and nails...basically the same idea, so thanks so much.
I was about to give up trying to do this. This video made all the difference. Finished my first bracelet in one sitting. Thank you for the time put into making this.
So clear and easy to follow. I remember French knitting as a child. Never did anything with the knitted strings! So look forward to trying a bracelet. Thank you.
Great video, thank you very much. You are an incredibly gifted teacher; tone of voice and consideration for the quality of your product as a teacher was a beautiful example. I believe this video has a lot to offer the classroom in general; from intro to engineering, to considerations of standards in illustration and education. Thanks again for the very cool lesson and the great example; we are lucky to have you around.
Normally I get bored with long lasting tutorials, but this was amazing. You are really a gifted teacher, I loved your hands and your smooth voice and the simplicity of the instructions. Best Regards from Greece. Vassilis
What a beautiful bracelet.....your video and the way you teach is wonderful for beginners with this piece. Thank you for taking your time and hitting every question that we may have. I will be viewing all your videos.
I have watched two of your tutorials and am astounded how easy you make it look. I understood all you did and it made perfect sense. THANK YOU. You do a great job of unhurriedly explaining each step. It is relaxing and informative to watch. Best craft tutorial I have ever seen. APPLAUSE !

Gosh, I always wondered how y'all did this technique! Thanks for the tute! p.s. I've always brushed off the idea of this technique cause I thought it was MUCH harder and time-consuming! Now, I know the secret :))
+Kee g Hi! Thanks for your questions. You would need to connect directly with Lisa Claxton, the teacher on this class. You can find contact info on her website: www.lisaclaxton.com/ Have a great day!
excellent tutorial. thank you very much. I'm a beginner, and I wish to begin my first bracelet with this,as you explained so clearly. Just let me know the size of wire (thickness)and beads please. I THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
Very pretty bracelet. Your presentation was easy to understand. I am new to beading wire and beading. I hope that I can make one soon. Thank you for the lesson. Where can I purchase the wood wire knitting tool?
+Claire Bacchi Hi! You can purchase the Knitting Spool with Awl from us, on our website. Here's a link: www.beaducation.com/zen_products/4650-knitting-spool-with-awl
Hi! I just watched your video (great btw, I now have a better understanding and I'm sure it will be easier than it looks when I try this) You mentioned that you can knit multiple bracelets at the same time. I don't understand how that would work. Do you have a tutorial that explains this? If not, will you please make one? I would love to see this-I think it would be a time saver for someone who makes a lot of jewelry. Thanks a bunch! Looking forward to your reply.
Hi, we have a number of knitting tutorials, and you might also enjoy our Viking knit class. www.beaducation.com/online_classes/46-unsupported-viking-knit-1-the-rope
Good tutorials. How can I order the materials you used to make the spool wire bracelets which can produce 1000 different bracelets and how much will it cost?
Help...I followed all directions - things were going well, until approximately the 3rd time around incorporating the beads. All of a sudden I was running out of working wire and had no slack at all left so I removed a few beads from the other end of where the beads were. I thought that would be enough. It wasn't. I continued to need to remove beads because if I didn't, there would be no working wire left. I used more than the 3 ft of wire to begin with and more than a foot of working wire and if I continued the process, my bracelet would be less than 2 in. with no wire left to work with. Please tell me what I did wrong. Thank you.
Hi Mary! I think the problem is that you simply need more wire. Lisa recommends that you start with 15 feet of wire. You can find a detailed listed of all the tools, materials and quantities on the class detail page here: www.beaducation.com/online_classes/123 I hope this clears up the issue, and if not feel free to email me directly at classes@beaducation.com
beaducation Thank you SO much for your swift and helpful reply. Since I had started with a partially used copper spool of wire and not knowing how much i had left in it, I threaded all the beads right up to the edge of the spool and as I worked it, I simply unwound more wire as needed and it worked WONDERFULLY! So your solution was right on and I loved doing it! Thank you again for quality instructions!
Hi Chris, We apologize about that. The wooden spools aren't being made any longer. Any spool knitter you'll find will work well for this technique. Thank you!

Hi! You can find the knitting spool on our website here; www.beaducation.com/shop/knitting-spool-with-awl-p-4547.html
Very interesting Thank you. xx
Thanks for a great tut. I am a beading newbie so don't have a stash. Could I use just one size eg. 4mm bicones and the seed beads?
Thanks
yes, I think those size beads would work great
Beautiful! What is the finished width or thickness of the knitted bracelet?
Hi Nancy! The samples you see in class are about 3/4-1" in diameter.
hello, i loved this video you did a wonderful job and was wondering if you have ever taught groups of people or are a teacher? :) thanks!
+Kee g Hi! Thanks for your questions. You would need to connect directly with Lisa Claxton, the teacher on this class. You can find contact info on her website: www.lisaclaxton.com/
Have a great day!
Could you pull through a draw plate even with the beads instead of stretching it.
We have not tried that before. I would be afraid of ruining my beads.
could i have used a crimp bead to join the wires instead?
Hi! You could give is a try! Lisa demonstrates her method of twisting the two ends together to join.
excellent tutorial. thank you very much. I'm a beginner, and I wish to begin my first bracelet with this,as you explained so clearly. Just let me know the size of wire (thickness)and beads please. I THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
Hi! You can find all the details on the class detail page here: www.beaducation.com/online_classes/123
Hi! very good tutorial! Tel me, may I use 28 gauge for this project? TY so much!
Hi! You can give it a shot. But, it may be too thin to hold up during the knitting process. Have fun!
