Good insight. It is very hard to write for fans. For me it's mainly because, fans interests change. I agree with others that say, ¨write the music you love.¨ As creators, we are listeners of music too and when I think about how I became a fan of the artists I enjoy, they didn't do anything to please me but their style was ALWAYS recognizable.
As a diy hardcore punk band that still plays shows and records after 30 years my advice is to write music you like . If people enjoy it great. That's a plus. But if your making music to seek popularity just hope for your viral lottery ticket to be cashed.
You’ve been very helpful man 👌🏻 Thankfully I’m already releasing my music but I need to take a step back from how I’ve been seeing music all these years; and you’re awesome with your details. Thank you once again!
REALLY GREAT VIDEO. I think unless the artist is astronomically big, They should consider people who support their art as friends and not fans. Let the audience declare themselves as fans to you but dont even think of them as a fan yourself. And really, you only have to make thay switch if you go like chappell roan did. Most of us would be made with 1000 supportive friends
Excellent video. Congruency is an underrated topic when it comes to creating a brand. Building out those sytems is a crucial step as well. Appreciate you Daxton 👍🏿
It's over saturation. Everyone and their mom is a musician these days, and there's nothing wrong with that. But 99.9 percent of bands and musicians these days aren't gonna be famous, it's too splintered.
Hey Dax, can you make a video about the problem, when I as a musician and producer have different topics I want to sell and unite it in one brand. For example: Own Music Video Game Music Audio Services (Mastering, Mixing e.g.) Thanks a lot. I really appreciate your content.
Yeah this was a quiet video. It was late at night and I tried not to wake the fam haha plus the mic was a little far. Hope the ads didn’t give you too big of a jump scare 😉

Helpful advice; thanks, Daxton! I hope you have a Happy New Year!
Thanks Quincy! Have a happy new year as well! 🍾🎇

Hey thanks for watching! Glad the videos have been helpful! 🙏🏻🔥
I can only imagine how many local bands had “meetings” where they decided on whether or not to do a grimace shake video
It was an epidemic man…🤣
I'm so glad I have no idea what a grimace shake is.

Pure facts this why i have issue with music nowadays.
Ontop of that it's hard to grow my youtube now its so many musicians its crazy.
He speaks the truth, and everybody is a musician, and the i hop on UA-cam that is all you going to see.
Another great insight video! Thanks!!
Glad you liked it! 🔥🔥
I got most of my subscribers from reading a children's book, and now I steadily loose subscribers the more music content I make.
Been there bro! Don’t worry, view those unsubscribes you sifting through the sand for the gold! 🏆
Write songs about children's books?
😢
👍 dude , and happy new year 🙏
Happy New Year to you as well! 🙏🏻🔥
Definitely can relate my man 👨 there is a bigger picture 🖼 here 😊

please make your sound a little louder, great video
Yeah the mic was a little far on this one haha!
Gotta build that parasocial relationship! Also the look has to be there…..that’s the part people don’t want to address.
For sure! It’s all gotta work together 🔥
Luckily for me I create music for anti fans. If you like my stuff I actively encourage you to unsubscribe and leave me alone!….winning!
Haha the ultimate takeaway selling angle! 😉
Get louder. You're gonna blow my sound system when it switches from you to commercial.

Reminds me of Lil Windex/DtG
Always the best 🤘🫡
