Long long ago - in the beginning or middle of the nineties - I saw Kai Krause live at MacWorld exhebition in Frankfurt/Main operating KPT Bryce 1 on a Macintosh SE/30. Amazing show, great user interface (my colleagues were using MS DOS or WIN 3.11 at this time). Thanks to Kai Krause for his innovation, good presentation and spirit!!!
Rare video… Kai Krause on KPT Bryce: “The interface is the padded cell, you just can't hurt yourself. Whatever you do, it invites you to play with the buttons and click on everything.” #design #ux #ui
That guy was WAAYY ahead of his time...amazing UI designer! In some ways...we still haven't caught up to what he was trying to achieve. I wonder what the heck he's doing these days?? (update: he lives in Germany in a castle - but wikipedia says nothing of what he's up).
I loved your software. I saw you present at a trade show and purchased the set right away. I wish it were still in the mix all these years later. Any possibility for an upgrade?
