That was a close battle with two totally different styles,
First round of Bookie is original asf, musical, then the first round of MaxO is hella powerfully technical.
Then in the second round imo that was a 50/50, the originality against the power, the end of the round of MaxO with his spit snares sounded kinda less powerful than the style we are used to hear from him. Still sounds great, but if yk wym, cool.
(Of course, it's only my opinion !)

Totally right!! I got intimidated by MaxO presence and I miss my execution on the second round. He's very solid on his beat so you can see the difference much more on the execution

Thank you first of all! And I wanted to do less solid routines but new ones. My style from 2022 is more efficient and suits very well to battle but I wanted show more of my identity threw those new rounds "less battle" even if that makes me lose more easily 😁

Even if it's just a joke, the whole "judges beat one the one who voted differently" thing really just doesn't look good. How do I know that the judges are actually judging according to how they feel if they're "punished" or even called out for it?

Max0 is incredibly powerful, and very strong, however its not just about power in beatboxing, River himself told me its also about feeling, emotion, performance etc, Bookie is french champion for a reason, he's very strong, musical, his persona reflects in his music, and at the same time battles hard. Just because someone votes for someone else, doesn't mean its a landslide win. This battle was very close, and both of them are op live, videos don't always reflect the true nature of the battle either

MaxO's first round was a lot better than his 2nd, Bookie's rounds had a ton more variety and uniqueness. It really could have gone either way.
