They always had a real love story , it's just that this story is sad. And most people ignore this story because they believe that Aertih belongs to Zack, which is the biggest nonsense in the history of mankind, because in the official books there are canonical words of Aerith that she fell in love with Cloud more than with Zack .
This was absolutely beautiful. I just love how soft Cloud gets around Aerith... when he tells the flowers to learn to talk to her I just about melted. It was so sweet, and so unlike him up to that point. It almost feels like she knows how to handle him. Just what words to say to push in in the right direction, or to pull him into a moment. She centers him. The fact that they grew so close in such a small amount of time speaks volumes as to the depth of love they have for each other. I mean, he's willing to risk his life for someone he barely knows, not for any money, but because he can feel her calling out to him. If that's not love... I don't know what is. Thank you so much for making this!
I've waited 23 years for their story. I'm happy there are others who treasure the innocent love and bittersweet connection they share. They'll always be my OTP.

I know, that with the remake there are gonna be a lot of CloudxTifa moments, but for me they will never measure up to the CloudxAerith moments, because they are the most pure and true scenes in the game.
I actually dont feel like there are a lot of cloti moments... maybe I just have a different standard on what a "moment" feels like. Probably because in the midgar arc, the cloti relationship never changed, it's the same from start til finish. They were friends and end as friends, while the clerith one starts at first meeting and you see them develop a closer bond. I love them :D

I haven't played the game so I am trying to keep away from spoilers till I get to play the remake, but on tumblr there are always some spoilers and I saw of few cloti moments. 1. Cloud gives Tiffa the flower he got. 2. They hug. 3. Tifa lands on Cloud. 4. He raises a glass and says beautiful to Tifa? I am not sure since they were clips, so not sure if the content was accurate. Either way, what I have seen on Clerith feels more genuine and sweet. But maybe I am being bias since I have love Clerith since I was a barely a teenager, but so be it. They are my OTP forever!

my heart honestly aches for the two of them to be together. the way their personalities are just makes them look really good together. aerith breaks down his walls in just one day of knowing each other and cloud opens up so much to her more than he does with tifa. and honeslty, i feel just like cloud. right when i saw aerith in that red dress, i instantly fell in love with her.
Honestly, if they confirm that Cloud and Aerith are the intended couple in the remake, I will be happy no matter what happens in the story. If they get to share beautiful moments confirming their love, I can accept if they end up deciding either of them end up having a tragic fate. Though of course my ultimate hope is for a happy ending. :)

Dude, I couldn’t massively agree more. Aerith is like a flying white angel to me. Just looking at her blond her and green eyes make me want to cry and hold her comforting her while she rests with me. I love her and I actually almost wish she was even a real person so I’d actually have feelings for her.
Also, she brings the best out of Cloud and Cloud brings out the best in her. Tifa kicks ass but is reduced to a shy, passive, little girl when he's around. Then he's just confused all the time. He's so oblivious to her liking him and for it to get anywhere she would need to be upfront, which she's not, Tifa and Cloud just don't have chemistry. I'm sure there's physical attraction but nothing deeper when with Aerith the soul-mate like connection is OBVIOUS. #clerithisotp
They didn’t really end up together. Cloud slept in a separate room and Tifa with Marlene. Barret lived with them too but was out sorting personal problems during AC. Cloud had moved away due to the geostigma and his guilt towards Aerith’s and Zack’s deaths. He moved to Aerith’s church, his promised land, the same place where he found Denzel which is why he believed that Aerith led him to her, that it was like a spiritual child for Cloud and Aerith which is why Cloud deeply cares about Denzel. Square even said that things might not work out between Cloud and Tifa even without sephiroph or geostigma and tifa is clearly jealous about Cloud’s bond with Aerith during FF7 and AC. It’s almost like Cloud is on a mission to be with Aerith. He loves her so much and I don’t see how so many can’t see this

In FF7 remake, when I first met Aerith, I thought she was a kind and laid-back girl. I remember Cloud going to the church & meeting her again, traveling by rooftop, visiting her house, doing all the side quests in Chapter 8 with her, adventuring to Sector 7 with her, and going to Wall Market with her to save Tifa. I remember Cloud fighting alongside her in the Corneo Colosseum, Cloud seeing her in her beautiful red dress, her being taken away by Tseng, and witnessing her resolution scene. I remember rescuing her from Shinra and fighting alongside her & Tifa in the battle with Sephiroth. A few months ago, I started playing the original FF7. I've just finished part 1 of FF7 and have recently encountered Aerith's death scene. In my game, Cloud met her in the same place as I saw in the remake, went to the church, went to Wall Market with her, picked out a dress for him & her to save Tifa, fought alongside her. They ended up falling in love going to the Gold Saucer for their date. When I saw her die, I could feel my heart shatter into a million pieces, my breathing got harder, and my body was shaking. I tried to hide it since I was with my parents, but I couldn't and ended up crying. I'm still super heartbroken. I wanted Cloud to fight Sephiroth alongside Aerith and Tifa, like in the remake. I wanted to see more of Clerith and how their relationship progresses. I wish she was alive for a little longer. This song is making me think of Clerith right now. This edit is so beautiful as well. I love & miss her so much. Though, it seems that I'll have to go on without her. Thank you, Aerith for making Cloud, me, and so much more people happy. I will cherish all the memories😭😭😭🖤🌻 I'm calming myself down right now. Please excuse me for being very emotional.

Aerith brought me to watch more Final Fantasy videos. I'm not a gamer but I started having interests in the series because of her. And now I'm a hardcore CleRith shipper uwu. This amv is so beautiful yet so painful to watch.

The Remake tbh isn't the original. You guys can say that Clerith doesn't exist but thing is, Square Enix has a literal museum on Cloud and Aerith. This Remake may have changed the new dialogue but the newbies and Cloti fans will never understand exactly why Clerith shippers exist. Heck, even in the American trailers for Advent Children were more into this ship saying things like, "a love that cannot be". Tifa is mostly there aside Cloud in other games for mostly fan-service. And I don't mean to throw hands but it's true. Some new people came in and changed the dialogue making it sound like Cloud doesn't care for Aerith which really kills what one of the little things that made Final Fantasy 7 so great.
But why would we say Clerith doesn't exist? Clerith has always been the canon pair. The only reason you have Tifa as a choice is because they wanted an LT in case you are the type who cannot stand tragedy. But Cloud and Aerith has always and will always be the main paring of FF7. And btw, the Remake solidifies Clerith. With emotions and voice acting, it is pretty clear who Cloud really loves. The player might have a choice on who they pick, but Cloud regardless of your choice only loves Aerith.

But clerith is something that is integrated to the story. In the remake, the resolution scenes are also non-contradictory as confirmed by the Ultimania, meaning Cloud did fall in love with Aerith. Whether he moves on with Tifa later or not, or if Aerith even dies this time around... we will wait and see.
I think Sora from Kingdom Hearts is like the son of Aerith and Cloud if they ever had the future. Cloud spiky hair + Aerith Color hair = Sora, and even Sora eyes are like Cloud when he was young..

I started shipping these 2 when I was 9 or 10, funny thing is it was the kingdom hearts game that started it for me (that one little scene during the end credits) and the rest is history, I was told a long time ago that Aerith died in the OG and never had the heart to play it for me the remake is both a fresh start and new beginning for these two, and I will make sure they are together even if it kills me

I have the same feelings as you. I was so set into not changing the iconic moments. Then I thought of how Cloud must feel after seeing visions of Aerith's death and then not being able to stop it still. And this time in HD... my heart will break. I will not be able to take his sorrow. It will be worse than AC. I can cry just thinking about it.

Look i know its Cloud X tifa because they've been together since they were adolescents, but the reason why i ship Aerith and cloud is because their way polar opposites. The flower girl with the bad boy, the bad boy with the flower girl. Its like a cold man meets a kind and sweet woman and that woman slowly turns the cold into warmth
It is fine to believe in CxT but, please know that they have not been together since adolescents. Cloud and Tifa were neighbors who barely knew each other. Tifa was the popular girl and Cloud was the outcast. She never noticed him. In an effort to get noticed, Cloud called Tifa into the water tower and told her that he would become a SOLDIER like his idol Sephiroth. Tifa found it exciting and asked him for a promise that when he becomes a SOLDIER, he would save her when she is in trouble. Hence, the promise was made. Cloud had always been an outcast growing up which is why he has self-esteem issues and since he was not able to get into SOLDIER he hid from Tifa during the Nibelheim incident. When Tifa met him again, he had broken memories because of mako poisoning, so he patched up his SOLDIER persona with Tifa's fantasies and Zack's achievements. Hence, SOLDIER first class Cloud was born.

Found out WOW had some Cloud and Aerith easter egg. They have NPCs flower vendor named “Aerith Primrose” and her bodyguard “Koraud”. The costumes were just like Aerith’s and Cloud’s. Koraud even had the pauldron, buster sword and hair. Even WOW gets it! Haha 😊

Martha Dewi I completely agree about how good the edit is, and I know I’m being very hopeful and if they did it, it might make a few people angry, but I’m hoping for her survival in the remake. With fate gone there is nothing binding her to that fate now, so maybe she won’t die. After all she does say the future isn’t written.

Let me put it into perspective: I think this time around we'll actually get to choose. I know they'll bring Zack into the story, but that's not his Aerith; we're dealing with a different Zack. People also seem to forget that even though Zack is alive, he's still dying from G-Cell degredation. Zack is doomed unless the game invents a cure to his sickness from the SOLDIER program. But damn it if I have the ability to give him scenes with Aerith, I will. I'm a Clerith guy, but Zack has earned the chance to interact with her in my eyes.
I don't think they are bringing Zack into the story except for flashbacks. They want to make people believe he might be alive somewhere in a different timeline, because he is popular, but his being alive will destroy the FF7 storyline so they will never do that. Cloud still has his sword and his "legacy". I love Zack too but he has his own story. This one is Cloud's.

After comparing this game with the OG as well as referencing CC and AC, theres a definite substance suggesting Clerith may be real cannon. Another point to take is that there are no whispers (arbiter of fate making sure OG timeline remains true) in OG and that theme is unique to FF7R. After defeating it, they changed the flow of the story (zack lives). Soooo... theres a real good chance we can change Aeriths fate too (she lives) however we need to take note that since both Cloud and Zack were under Project S... there might be a chance Zack might end up their opponent... coz Zephy can control him too. And even if cloud might be able to resist Zephys command, Zack is there to do the things Cloud was suppose to do (like giving zephy the black materia, etc.)

Zack was too young to consider ever-afters while Aerith was a devoted young girl. But Zack didn't really play around. He was just charming to the ladies. As Zack grew more mature, he found more appreciation for the love and devotion that Aerith gave him and wanted to return to her. It was too late. But he did one great thing. He managed to bring Cloud to Midgar. And Cloud met Aerith and fell in love with her too. That is why I believe it was Zack that brought Cloud to Aerith. And he would have been very happy knowing that they were able to find and love each other.

I actually do like Zack's character as he is very similar to Aerith and he and Aerith are the only ones who can really touch Cloud's heart because of their personalities. I've also read all the novellas. And I am happy we can get this remake. With the voice and expressions, we can clearly see where the love is.

In FF7 remake, when I first met Aerith, I thought she was a kind and laid-back girl. I remember Cloud going to the church & meeting her again, traveling by rooftop, visiting her house, doing all the side quests in Chapter 8 with her, adventuring to Sector 7 with her, and going to Wall Market with her to save Tifa. I remember Cloud fighting alongside her in the Corneo Colosseum, Cloud seeing her in her beautiful red dress, her being taken away by Tseng, and witnessing her resolution scene. I remember rescuing her from Shinra and fighting alongside her & Tifa in the battle with Sephiroth.
A few months ago, I started playing the original FF7. I've just finished part 1 of FF7 and have recently encountered Aerith's death scene. In my game, Cloud met her in the same place as I saw in the remake, went to the church, went to Wall Market with her, picked out a dress for him & her to save Tifa, fought alongside her. They ended up falling in love going to the Gold Saucer for their date. When I saw her die, I could feel my heart shatter into a million pieces, my breathing got harder, and my body was shaking. I tried to hide it since I was with my parents, but I couldn't and ended up crying. I'm still super heartbroken. I wanted Cloud to fight Sephiroth alongside Aerith and Tifa, like in the remake. I wanted to see more of Clerith and how their relationship progresses. I wish she was alive for a little longer. This song is making me think of Clerith right now. This edit is so beautiful as well. I love & miss her so much. Though, it seems that I'll have to go on without her. Thank you, Aerith for making Cloud, me, and so much more people happy. I will cherish all the memories😭😭😭🖤🌻

Aerith brought me to watch more Final Fantasy videos. I'm not a gamer but I started having interests in the series because of her. And now I'm a hardcore CleRith shipper uwu. This amv is so beautiful yet so painful to watch.

And AERITH is the 1st first female video game face that I've obsessed after I see her in yt accidentally as in so much coz she's so so pretty like! and Clerith is the 1st 1st Game character I ship ... If it wasn't for them I dnt know ff7 nor maybe some ff series game. and to tell you honestly I knew Cloud by named and a game character but not to the extent of whole yet seeing them on yt in wall market scene I intently ship him with a girl never thought her named is AERITH coz I've seen some spark should I say I ship them at that point coz of their CUTE Longing reunion kind of loved (FEELS) . And never expect that CLERITH as REAL story in ff7 are actually soulmate LIKE OH MY GOSH!!. From then on THEY WERE MY fave ship and 1st time that I obsessed with a character anime/rpg ship coz I only do that for a live action film nor frm books .

The Remake tbh isn't the original. You guys can say that Clerith doesn't exist but thing is, Square Enix has a literal museum on Cloud and Aerith. This Remake may have changed the new dialogue but the newbies and Cloti fans will never understand exactly why Clerith shippers exist. Heck, even in the American trailers for Advent Children were more into this ship saying things like, "a love that cannot be". Tifa is mostly there aside Cloud in other games for mostly fan-service.
And I don't mean to throw hands but it's true. Some new people came in and changed the dialogue making it sound like Cloud doesn't care for Aerith which really kills what one of the little things that made Final Fantasy 7 so great.
But why would we say Clerith doesn't exist? Clerith has always been the canon pair. The only reason you have Tifa as a choice is because they wanted an LT in case you are the type who cannot stand tragedy. But Cloud and Aerith has always and will always be the main paring of FF7.
And btw, the Remake solidifies Clerith. With emotions and voice acting, it is pretty clear who Cloud really loves. The player might have a choice on who they pick, but Cloud regardless of your choice only loves Aerith.

@@nosomi2823 Thanks! But the other pair was never confirmed canon. Such is a false narrative spread by the fans. Never was true. Tbh, SE never admitted to a canon. But clerith is something that is integrated to the story. In the remake, the resolution scenes are also non-contradictory as confirmed by the Ultimania, meaning Cloud did fall in love with Aerith. Whether he moves on with Tifa later or not, or if Aerith even dies this time around... we will wait and see.

I started shipping these 2 when I was 9 or 10, funny thing is it was the kingdom hearts game that started it for me (that one little scene during the end credits) and the rest is history, I was told a long time ago that Aerith died in the OG and never had the heart to play it

I have the same feelings as you. I was so set into not changing the iconic moments. Then I thought of how Cloud must feel after seeing visions of Aerith's death and then not being able to stop it still. And this time in HD... my heart will break. I will not be able to take his sorrow. It will be worse than AC. I can cry just thinking about it.

Look i know its Cloud X tifa because they've been together since they were adolescents, but the reason why i ship Aerith and cloud is because their way polar opposites.
The flower girl with the bad boy, the bad boy with the flower girl. Its like a cold man meets a kind and sweet woman and that woman slowly turns the cold into warmth
It is fine to believe in CxT but, please know that they have not been together since adolescents. Cloud and Tifa were neighbors who barely knew each other. Tifa was the popular girl and Cloud was the outcast. She never noticed him. In an effort to get noticed, Cloud called Tifa into the water tower and told her that he would become a SOLDIER like his idol Sephiroth. Tifa found it exciting and asked him for a promise that when he becomes a SOLDIER, he would save her when she is in trouble. Hence, the promise was made. Cloud had always been an outcast growing up which is why he has self-esteem issues and since he was not able to get into SOLDIER he hid from Tifa during the Nibelheim incident. When Tifa met him again, he had broken memories because of mako poisoning, so he patched up his SOLDIER persona with Tifa's fantasies and Zack's achievements. Hence, SOLDIER first class Cloud was born.

Found out WOW had some Cloud and Aerith easter egg. They have NPCs flower vendor named “Aerith Primrose” and her bodyguard “Koraud”. The costumes were just like Aerith’s and Cloud’s. Koraud even had the pauldron, buster sword and hair. Even WOW gets it! Haha 😊

With fate gone there is nothing binding her to that fate now, so maybe she won’t die. After all she does say the future isn’t written.

Let me put it into perspective: I think this time around we'll actually get to choose. I know they'll bring Zack into the story, but that's not his Aerith; we're dealing with a different Zack. People also seem to forget that even though Zack is alive, he's still dying from G-Cell degredation. Zack is doomed unless the game invents a cure to his sickness from the SOLDIER program.
But damn it if I have the ability to give him scenes with Aerith, I will. I'm a Clerith guy, but Zack has earned the chance to interact with her in my eyes.
I don't think they are bringing Zack into the story except for flashbacks. They want to make people believe he might be alive somewhere in a different timeline, because he is popular, but his being alive will destroy the FF7 storyline so they will never do that. Cloud still has his sword and his "legacy". I love Zack too but he has his own story. This one is Cloud's.

It is understandable as he was in a lab for 5 years of his life. So he is still a child. But he still has his SOLDIER persona so it doesn't come up as often. But yeah, Tifa will probably be wasted on him, because she has certain needs he will never be able to fulfill.

After comparing this game with the OG as well as referencing CC and AC, theres a definite substance suggesting Clerith may be real cannon.
Another point to take is that there are no whispers (arbiter of fate making sure OG timeline remains true) in OG and that theme is unique to FF7R. After defeating it, they changed the flow of the story (zack lives). Soooo... theres a real good chance we can change Aeriths fate too (she lives) however we need to take note that since both Cloud and Zack were under Project S... there might be a chance Zack might end up their opponent... coz Zephy can control him too. And even if cloud might be able to resist Zephys command, Zack is there to do the things Cloud was suppose to do (like giving zephy the black materia, etc.)

Zack was too young to consider ever-afters while Aerith was a devoted young girl. But Zack didn't really play around. He was just charming to the ladies. As Zack grew more mature, he found more appreciation for the love and devotion that Aerith gave him and wanted to return to her. It was too late. But he did one great thing. He managed to bring Cloud to Midgar. And Cloud met Aerith and fell in love with her too. That is why I believe it was Zack that brought Cloud to Aerith. And he would have been very happy knowing that they were able to find and love each other.

I actually do like Zack's character as he is very similar to Aerith and he and Aerith are the only ones who can really touch Cloud's heart because of their personalities. I've also read all the novellas. And I am happy we can get this remake. With the voice and expressions, we can clearly see where the love is.
