I hated this album when it came out, I like it now. It is cheesy, but there is no cheese like 80's cheese to someone who grew up in that decade.

Listening through the Jaguar discography for the first time after being captivated by "Axe Crazy", and hearing this right after the blistering speed metal of Power Games without any forewarning is like hitting a wall of bricks. I don't mind this style, though

As an AOR/hard rocker for whom this was the first Jaguar album I heard in 1984, I loved it and it's still a favourite album overall from this period. Their harder stuff never really worked for me.

This is not nwobhm...At this time jaguar turned to americanized hard rock...they sound inferior to power games, although it's an interesting album, reflective of the mid 80's AOR sound...many nwobhm bands softened at that time, like def leppard, tygers of pan tang, diamond head, saracen...

It's obvious that, even under contractual force, they let some of their worth come to the surface. Power Games was epically fresh blood back into Metal, as well as the early demos. ''This Time'' was maybe their Cold Lake, just like Diamond Head did Canterbury. Rejoyce for you will always have Power Games to prove they were important Nwobhmers.

I completely understand. Not too bad as ambient noise when doing some other things. It's kind of like muzak. Still, I appreciate the upload. They completely changed their style in later years. It's good to be able to hear their complete history.

I think they loved melodic rock and softened their songs, however, I think their quality is intact on their second album but as someone said, they tried to get into the grounds of Def Leppard but it did not work like them

what a poor record compared to the wonderful Power Games and all their raw demos, Jaguar left their powerful thrashy speed metal for a tame AOR style that does not suit them at all, Jaguar is no Def Leppard, and this record marked the end of the band for years

Many NWOBHM bands sold out as the Def Leppard style glam metal catched on. Funny thing. Def Leppard was always the contempted outcast in NWOBHM circles and later on went from an underdog to a trendsetter, followed by many NWOBHM bands.
But I have to agree : bands like Raven, Jaquar and Tygers of Pan Tang would have been better of not becoming cheap Def Leppard clones.
