Thank you! this was very helpful. I just recently splurged on brushos and was upset to learn that they might not be top of the line anymore. Your video shows that it was still a good investment.

Thanks for the comparison. Nice to know that I don't have to buy both.

There is a liner inside the cap and it helps to remove that first. I used a pokey tool to start the hole, then the push pin went in easily!

Thanks for that tip Robin! I will remove that liner in the lids.😂❤

I have 10 of the new Dinkles colors. I made one background just to see if they react differently than Brushos or any of the other pigment powders. The short answer is - they're pretty much the same. The one thing that I'll try next with the Dinkles is to use a soft brush to take the powder from the canister and sprinkle over the paper. Since the canisters have twist-off caps I think this will work better than trying to use them as a shaker. I've never liked the "shaker" method. The dispersement of the powders isn't what I'm looking for and, because the powders do settle at the bottom of the canisters over time, I have to remember to tap the canister on a hard surface to break up the powders. Using a brush will, I think, help with this issue. This is the way I use Lindy's Magical and much prefer the results. The packaging of the Brushos (and Bisters) pretty much requires the shaker method - too much of a chance to end up wearing the pigments otherwise, lol. JMO

I agree pretty much the same as far as a product. I'll have to try it with a brush also, you can still open the top of the Brusho canisters, they do close tightly i have never had one pop open. 💗

@@melisacrook7098 yes, I've had Brushos for years but the way the caps on my canisters are made you have to "zip" the strip away from the cap to unseal it and then there is a tab to push against to remove the cap. If they were twist-on caps I'd have no problem, but pushing to pop the tops off seems to invite disaster for me. To be honest, I rarely use the Brushos (and other powdered pigments) because they seem to find a way to end up on everything. I taught a class with Brushos and one of the ladies told me when she got ready to shower that evening she found green Brushos on the sole of her foot!! I appreciate the work you did to compare the two products and it does confirm my initial thoughts. Thanks again.

Wondering if you can reuse the powders in the little cups over and over again on different days? Do they dry up? Do have to add more water or more powders every time you go to use them?Tia

Yes if the water evaporates and you have dried up pigments add water shake well. May have to add a little more powder for color intensity. I live in a dry hot climate so this happens to me often. But keep the lids on they will stay liquid for a long time.

Does the word and/or name "Dinkles" have a specific meaning? How on earth did someone come up with "Dinkles" as the name for color pigment? I just can't take this product serious because of the name (sorry, I don't mean to be offensive)! I would love to know the back story of the word/name. If it's top secret information I respect that!! I actually researched the word "dinkles" looking for a meaning (lol) and found it to be the brand name of marching band shoes (I assume a family name). Maybe this product is tied in with the shoe company "Dinkles"?

😂as far as I know, Lavinia Stamps Response was "dry ink" dink, mixed with sprinkles. Like it was a made up word. Umm look up the word, it has a few meanings. Some are not so appropriate. Shoes as you say, one is idiot and another is slang for penis. I agree they could have came up with a better name. 💗
