+Ken Oath The trailer is the RC4WD China-copy from xtraspeed. The RC4WD trailer is around $220 and the xtraspeed is $99. The Twin Hammers fit perfect on the trailer.
+Remote Addicted It sure does, thanks for the info'.. I just bought a Feiyue FY03 the other day for a re- entry into RC cars after many many years out of the hobby, then seen it's a 1/12 copy of the Twin Hammers :D I was wanting the Axial Honcho but after spending a lot on a new quadcopter decided to get something cheap for now :)
Ken Oath Cool, I already read a lot of good things about the FY03 and it has a good value. I re-entered the hobby 2012 after a 20-year pause. Now i'm totally addicted :) A quadcopter that is bigger than my hubsan h-107 is still on my list :)
They are both not the best climber out of the box. You need to upgrade both for the best results. Twin Hammers needs some shock/steering mods, a battey relocation and a diff locker in the front - then it's a beast. I have both and both are absolute great and durable climber.
+Gekogaming Bree There'a a video coming on 4th March and one one 22nd April. But both are more "rock-racing" vids. This weekend we're going on a trail and will take the twin hammers with us. Maybe we can shoot a video.
can you shift the gear manually? i see that you can turn in two speed gearbox adding the extra servo. But can not be done manually? Good videos dude, and good models too!!
Thanks a lot. You could shift it manually but you always need to take off the body. The body is fixed with 10 screws :) When adding another servo you need to disassemble the gearbox because the gearing is fixed in the rtr truck. You also need a 3 channels radio because the rtr radio has 2 channels.
Oh, Thanks, I appreciate your answer... I like a lot this truck... and to be honest, being cheaper than the buggy version it makes it a very attractive option to me, xD Maybe to do shoots with a camera, its convenient the slow gear set... I like the realism in the scale!! Regards!!
Alexis You're welcome. I took this one because I like the body more than the "known" twin hammers body. The missing second gear is absolutely ok for me. You can check out the other twin hammer vids on my channel. I got some rock racing and crawling vid there.
April Arenivar Well if you need a better radio and the possibility to switch beween gears you can take the "standard" Twin Hammers. I took the DT because I like the DT body shell much more than the "standard" one. The truck makes fun and I would buy it again.
Remote Addicted thx soon much for the reply but is it ok for me to ask one more question, is the v2 a better deal or is this the same but without the shifter?
The v2 has a different body, a shifter for the 2-speed transmission and a 3 channel radio. Everything else is the same. My DT version was bought for crawling/rock crawling so it was the cheaper and better option.
I wonder why A new car is missing the shift servo? Aren't all the twin hammers two speed?
Yes but the DT version doesnt come with a shift servo or a 3ch Spektrum radio.
That looks like a serious bit of kit and that car trailer looks great, did you make it?

So twin hammers and scx 10 is not much difference?
Can you do a long trail vid with it please 😀🐍

Schaut stylisch aus der Twinhammer :)
+Gery's Modellbaublog Ja, gefällt mir irgendwie besser, als der Originale.
+Remote Addicted Das stimmt...
wait.. doesnt the twin hammers come with the dx4c?
+April Arenivar yes but not the "DT - Desert Truck" version. The DT has no servo to switch gears - so no need for a radio with more than 2 channels :)
+Remote Addicted howmuch do you recomend this dt?
April Arenivar Well if you need a better radio and the possibility to switch beween gears you can take the "standard" Twin Hammers. I took the DT because I like the DT body shell much more than the "standard" one. The truck makes fun and I would buy it again.
Is this better or worse than regular twin hammer
It's basically the same with a different body, no servo to shift gears and a 2 channel radio instead of a 3 channel radio.
Remote Addicted same speed you would say?
Remote Addicted ok thank you
Yes, same speed when driving the twin hammers in low gear. Transmission is great to put on a second servo for gear switch.
Where can I get the same trailer at?
You can get the Xtra Speed Trailer at RCmart: www.rcmart.com/heavy-duty-carriers-p-62807.html?cPath=438_1698
what is it cslled
the Truck?
Nicholas Martin Are you stupid?
Nicholas Martin. twin hammers
Is it 1/10 scale
Yes.
Does this have electric brakes
In Crawler Mode the ESC brakes the motor ... so yes :)
Remote Addicted thx soon much for the reply but is it ok for me to ask one more question, is the v2 a better deal or is this the same but without the shifter?

Remote Addicted do you know if the bodies are interchangeable?
Yes they are. It's the same cage under the different bodies.
¿Top speed?
I have no idea but bigsquidrc tested it and sais 16mph (in high gear).
