    Thanks for the interview.
I had the sense early in the movie that it was about "the inner monster", because in the book it said "the more you ignore me the stronger I become"

Everybody here is talking about her hairstyle instead of the movie..

All comments on the salient issue of what one human being among billions does with their hair, horror and film fans alike owe it to themselves and this film maker to go see The Babadook. Clever, original, unnerving and emotionally fraught, it's a fresh, deftly feminine entry into the genre and one that puts many recent mainstream (cough-The-Conjuring-hack) horrors to shame. And with some very sensible hair, too.

Ms. Kent was great in Murder Call as a low key police officer whom always made very innocent wise cracks, perfect character acting.

oh god I hate when people make rude judgements about people

HuntHerKillHer that is not a judgement but rather a statement of opinion... a judgement would be something like "people with shaved heads are terrible people".

StriefD a statement that inevitably reflects preconceived judgments.

I'm disgusted at all the comments about her weirdo haircut. Not nearly enough comments about how she loves showing off her Austin Powers teeth.

just curiosity why people shave only half head?.......it is rather fashion or any religious reason.....

It is a hair style. Like any other hair style, they do it because they think it works/looks good/ feels good.
