  • In the year 2007, a technical titan emerged by the name of Crysis. Computers everywhere fear it, and rightfully so. Crysis is a game that has brought PCs to their knees for years, and while it isn't the hardest game to run nowadays, it still can pack a punch and actually still looks pretty dang good.
What did running Crysis even mean back then? Let's take a look, with a pc more properly equipped for the challenge. This computer has had the advantage of a hardware revision after Crysis had came out, so it may have a chance to have learned something.
You may not want to buy an old PC to play the original Crysis, but maybe you would be interested in the new remasters of Crysis 1, 2, and 3. Crysis Remastered Trilogy: geni.us/9volG

Having this pc in 2008 would be amazing haha
This is a great video man, you explained everything 🍻
I had intel core 2 duo, gts 8800 320mb, 2gb ddr2 800 and played crysis at max settings 1024(?)p around 15-30fps. No complaints, the game is awesome and multiplayer underrated... that Mesa map was amazing times lol

This is an interesting video. Windows XP holds a special place in my heart and budget retro gaming PCs definitely works well with XP especially XP Professional x64-bit.
The original version of Crysis still holds up to this day in both graphics and gameplay despite being a 2007 game so it is quite impressive. :)

You're not able to crank it up all the way to very high because you're running it on windows XP which doesn't support dx10. It's running on dx9 under XP.
