I spent a few hours messing around on the Loop Rd. before getting back on 41, also stopped at Robbies. I went in the middle of February, alot less traffic, but just as hot. 95 sweltering degrees!! Love this!!
Somewhere on the north end of US1 is a smaller detour type road that will take you past a bar called Alabama Jacks where a lot of riders stop ... Its s nice little drive . Been a few years since I've been.
Wish I could show everything we did. We spent almost three hours together between riding and lunch. Robbie’s is at MM77.5 so we were still almost two hours from KW after lunch.
Awesome video Brian as always. I will be moving down to South Miami towards the end of the year probably January. Once i'm settled i will reach out and hook up with you guys.
Brian on your GPS there is a setting for scenic trip, fastest way, shortest route. Make sure that it is set to your desired route and by clicking on the street name on your set route for next then will allow you to see the whole route, turn by turn.
I use an app called InRoute to set way points creating the route, then export it into Garmin. I’ve gone through those settings and I think I have it correct but I may have missed a check box somewhere. Thanks for the tip
Hey Will, shouldn’t those setting be ignored though when you’re send a map to it that is designed with way points, I’m thinking it should take me exactly the route I give it instead of just leading me around. Call me crazy
Thanks again.. luv how you put it all together.. ps i take off for around Australia tomorrow morning... keep them coming Brian... loved how you hooked up with guys. Very happy guys and no my bikes better then yours.. all about the ride.. 5 stars to you mate.
Thanks Digby! Good luck on your ride, sounds like it’s going to be epic. I’d love to do something like you’re doing and just take off for an extended trip. Jealous. Remember, you can’t get enough b-roll! LOL.
Love Robbie's!! My brother and I discovered this place on our trip down the Keys back in November 2020. We stopped in for a beer and a cigar on the Hidden Beach on the backside before continuing on. Great place to unwind and just take in the natural beauty of Islamorada. We got really lucky on the traffic, BTW. Sorry you didn't!
Oh the traffic. It’s one of my memories of Key West, trying to get back to the airport in Ft Lauderdale on a Sunday! Awesome that you met new friends to ride with too.
Mainly because it was her weekend to be on-call and she is barraged with phone calls constantly and has to negotiate contracts, do research etc so she’s pretty much glued to a PC. It would have been very stressful to be on the bike.
@@TwoIndians Oh wow thats too bad she didnt get to go. But when you got a job i guess that comes 1st. Im glad you had a good time and made some new friends
I’m heading to Florida this coming Sunday. Should be there next couple weeks...can’t wait. Hope to have good weather, I’ll be staying north/east of Jacksonville. Also, plan on doing to Keys too👍🏽
Are you doing any meet up rides? I just moved to Ormond Beach and would like to be turned on to some of the really good routes I’ve seen you take. Not to mention, thank you in person for the videos with no click baiting 👍🏼
Yeah, I can’t stand that. Most of the best riding in the state is west and a little south of you. Head out to Ocala NF for starters but most of may favorite roads are all west of Lake Apopka and north. Join our IMRG out Sanford #2059. !
That teeny little post office in Ochopee is the smallest post office in the US, period. There's a little one on The Big Island of Hawai'i, but ours is half the size of theirs. Traveling across the Everglades on the Tamiami Trail was a wiser choice than Alligator Alley (I-75). If you slow down to smell the roses so to speak on the Tamiami Trail, there's plenty to see, airboat tours, Seminole Indian villages, Everglades National Park, and yes, alligators in the canals which run directly beside the roadway. It's almost a trip back into the history of Old Florida. Alligator Alley may be the faster route across the state, but BORRRRRING compared to the adventure across the Trail.
Love to be riding that route with you. What kind of GPS are you using, I’m in the market for one and I don’t want yours. Went to to Key West about six years ago, what a blast. Have a great trip and be safe, love to Barb.
I think the issues with the GPS have more to do with the interface between the little screen and my floorboards 🤣🤣 I’m sure it’s doing exactly what I have it set to do
Ya know my Garmin did that same thing all the time reroute me taking me on freaking a goose chases till it did it one time too many. Man that pissed me off not anymore a good phone mount is worth a lot
Awesome bro 😎

My NUVI GPS plays them little "strange pointless routes" games too.
You meet the nicest people on two wheels. I’m with you, nothing worse sitting in traffic on a hot day with an air cooled bike.
Indeed you meet some great people on bikes.
Preach!!! Yeah I HATE getting stuck in traffic.
Beautiful scenery
We are loving this video!!! The Everglades portion just brings back so many memories!!!
Thank you!

The ppl you meet on the road make Motorcylce riding that much cooler. Good video. (as always)!!

I am blowing threw all your videos today. I have been riding with you for two years. Your videos are fun. 🙂
Great video. Look forward to part 3!
I’m working on it now. It’s probably gonna be 20+ minutes.

@@TwoIndians no, waypoints won't override route settings..
I rode my Roadmaster from Pennsylvania to Key West and back with a buddy on his Cheiftain. It was a great trip. I wish I had known about Robbies.
Nothing like meeting great people on the way!! 👊🏼
Those guys were so cool. I wish I could put up our entire conversations but it’s boring or inappropriate LOL.

Cool video. Did you happen to see Jimmy Buffet on your journey? 😁
No but his spirit was
