They've heard the stories of ARMY who were about to 'give up their life' (I know I've heard some of them), and how BTS found them at EXACTLY the right moment. How BTS gave them the hope, and the strength, to fight on.💜 But BTS, being who they are, wish they could do more. They know there are a lot of people around the world who are in pain. And they want their voices to be "Louder Than Bombs" so they can reach those who need them. They want to be there for us, in our darkest moments; show us that there is light, and someone who cares.💜 BTS have a unique gift to create music that reaches out to so many, yet touch us all in an uniquely personal way. It would be technically difficult verging on impossible from an engineering standpoint. They'd have to do an entirely different arrangement. It wouldn't sound like the same song. I'd still love to hear it! But the whispered vocals and layers are a big part of why it's so haunting.
By far one of my favorite bts songs of all time (and considering they have over 300 songs that's really saying something😂). Everything from the melody, their voices, the lyrics, the verses, are so solemn, heavy, emotional, and powerful (haunting yet also beautiful in every way). We've been wanting a live performance for years but RM said its really hard to sing live so he doesn't know about that😅 (but who knows hopefully one day). Also j-hppe is really like a vocal chamelion, he can do anything and everything with his voice (somehow in almost every song he can sound so different you wouldnt believe it😆).

BTS members are undone by knowing that their music and story can help people facing sometimes genuinely overwhelming difficulties. It's not that uncommon for them to weep for their rans and because of the courage their fans are showing in such adversity. They cannot understand at all how what they do (so little in their eyes) can ever help people in such pain. This is a great part of what motivates BYS to continue and to still work so hard for fans.

This is just my take on this hauntingly beautiful song. (I could be wrong.) Think about what a pressure it is on these young men, who declared it their mission (from the get go with their name) to protect the youth of the world with their music. In one way, when you share your pain with one another (BTS & ARMY), you can understand & help each other. And this goes both ways. But shared pain is still pain. Although sharing & support through hardship or suffering is amazingly helpful, it does not mean that the obstacle or suffering can always be alleviated. So for BTS, as they come to realize that all the members of their audience from every country in the world are potentially experiencing pain & suffering from circumstances beyond anyone's ability to resolve in the moment, it would be an unimaginable weight to bear. And yet, they take this on. They continue their declaration that they've had from the start. They keep doing all they can do - speaking & singing louder than bombs, wherever they are in the world, trying to uplift people, out of their pain for a moment, even in the midst of the most dire of situations. 💜

Sorry, but this was released pre-pandemic as part of Map Of The Soul:7, which was a masterpiece album. Pandemic stole the world tour and thunder of this album reaching the world. We found out years later that this album had been intended as their last album before enlistment, so they were pulling out all the stops, putting their heart, soul, and everything into this album that was both temporary farewell and potentially last (because you never know what the future holds, and maybe fans will move on while they are gone to military) messages to ARMY. The entire album was deeply personal and largely messages directed at ARMY, though as with the genius of other BTS music it can hold multiple meanings for people to relate with.
I see ppl here talking about the beautiful voices, indeed they are beautiful, but for one second, did you even consider reading through the lyrics? Yes, I love their voices, but the pain in this song broke my heart about just how much pain is behind those voices. I could feel their emotions poured into it.
