  • Gorgeous. Fast. Ferocious. It's dangerous being on the food menu of a six-spotted tiger beetle (Cicindela sexguttata). This white-spotted, bright iridescent beetle crushes and slices its prey before consumption.

      I am convinced that I am the only person who has gone on a week bender and had one tattooed. Specifically a six spotted green. For real. Just in front of the inside of my elbow

    I like that you look at the world in layers. You’re showing us activity that is several layers closer to the forest floor than I ever get.

    • @KoawNature
      @KoawNature  4 роки тому +2

      Thanks Sarah! It's hard even seeing that detail until I get back into the production aspect and really blow-up the video. The details on the beetle are just fascinating to see in macro shots.

    Will the beetle eat the ant's head, or just the body?

    • @KoawNature
      @KoawNature  4 роки тому

      The beetle I observed did not eat the head. The head is palatable but perhaps this beetle just felt the other segments were all it wanted.
