The only obvious difference was Belushi and Radner on the couch. Growing up in the 80’s as a child and the 1990’s as a teenager… it’s very, very strange seeing that whole Zeitgeist become projects for retro-based movies.
    SNL was a favorite of my aunt, who my mother and I lived with for a year or so. She watched it regularly in the early 80’s, so I remember allot of these sketches when they first aired and my introduction to Dan Aykroyd was SNL (next being Ghostbusters, which I watched in theaters).
    It is cool knowing I got to live through all that and luckily I have a pretty good memory, so I can still see everything and smell everything (which can bring tears allot to).
    I remember the night I saw the poster for Ghostbusters ll, I was very excited and couldn’t wait. It’s still one of my favorite movies, I never understood the hate it got.
    I think quality was so high back then that the bar was up there, so even a great movie was mediocre in some people’s eyes.
    But, nowadays a movie, like Ghostbusters ll would be the GOAT.

      I think, I THINK, the point was… he walked in an unshaven mess, but became an icon clean shaven and hair brushed. The movie seems to allude to Belushi was living with Lorne and his wife, sleeping on the couch or something. They were all friends before the show, Lorne found many of them in comedy clubs across the country and brought them to NYC (I know that’s an actual fact). Crazy, allot of these wealthy, famous people started out just like you and me. But, they dug their way to the top.

      @kamdan2011 25 днів тому

      @@82pythons85 Right, but it’s a bit contradictory to show him as the unshaven and moody Belushi in his screen test. It makes you seriously question why he’s even there in the first place. When you see the real deal, Belushi knows he’s auditioning and has his game face on. He doesn’t have to earn it when he does his news desk bit like how they dramatized it. They could have easily shown him clean shaven at the beginning and he gets more moody as the first airing approaches and they want him to be as he was when he auditioned.

    wow this is cool to see, it highlights the raw brilliance of the original cast. what a time to be alive. Doing an Andy Kaufman in that particular moment is a truly tall order, Jim Carrey came the closest. Thanks for sharing.

      it's a biopic, wich they tell a story
      not a remake of a episode, otherwise you would see the whole episode on this video
