Great to hear the background on some of these cars. I miss your podcast with the other stories Mike has from over the years with acquiring cars. With the 1954 500 Mondial Spider, the buyer of the crumpled frame, can get the factory to recreate the body panels, engine, gearbox, trim etc? All those jigs and patterns still exist there? Amazing.
Racing cars get banged up normally, and many have been partially or totally reskinned. The chassis is repairable and if they don't have the original body bucks they can recreate the body from photos and measurements of original cars.
Another great family sit down! Might be my favorite so far. Your dad’s history with that collection and insider commentary of Walt is priceless. The pictures supporting the story should be framed on a wall as art. :). Seeing the only raced F50 would be nice- we unfortunately will not be there.
Fascinating content, great hearing your dad's stories - 10/10 from me! You make some of the best car content on YT Colleen! Thank you and keep them coming!!!!!
Love listening to you and your dad talking about cars, I am a little late but the last time I was this early Colleen was still trying to make a 575 super America roof work!! Where is your Merch collection these days?
Wow! As soon as I saw the pics it jogged my memory of an article I saw in the 1991 Road and track special magazine I have and an article by Bill Warner about a Walter Medlin ! I do believe these are the same cars?! Great history and nostalgia! By the way, is Mike well? or has he been ill? Hope all is well, greetings from Ottawa.
the nicest greetings from the beautiful lake Balaton to you,who more are knowing about the prancing horse as Enzo himself-with the best wishes for health and family-harmony for you, your girl and the whole Sheehan- family
IRS has nothing to do with Walter selling of the cars. I know him personally he was ready for the cars to go to good homes. Well did not even need the money. But great story.
Love listening to these kind of stories, thank you for uploading them.
Love the videos Colleen, but you need some new trousers. Those ones have holes in!
they have all been great shows but that was the GREATEST
Walter Medlin stories always fascinated me - the guy's "collection habits" were those of a reclusive, eccentric hoarder.

Great info on the cars. Interesting to hear the thoughts on possible sale prices and restoration costs vs. likely restored value. Enjoyed the video.
