It's a lovely thing, but it isn't a Ferrari. It's an aftermarket body that was put onto a Ferrari chassis by people other than the factory. All that said I'm very happy It's been saved and is going to be fitted out with a copy of its original chassis and a proper Colombo V12, just so long as no one tries to pass it off as the real deal
Absolutely brilliant episode, what a collection of special cars, the Ferrari is on another level, a fantastic man Will is and you Jonny really know how to put these shows together! The absolute best watch on UA-cam or anywhere else for that matter....brilliant!
Just to expand on the racing Ferrari right hand drive point and Jonny's comment re Italian driving; Italy drove on the left in the early years and Lancia continued to make its cars in right hand drive for the Italian market right up until the early 1950's.
In addition to what Will said in the video, italian race cars continued to be RHD for a while because the clockwise oval tracks (right turns only) had no real pit area that was physically separated from the track by a barrier: cars would keep to the right on one of the straights, and with RHD cars drivers could get in and out of the car away from traffic rather than towards the speeding cars

Just to expand on the racing Ferrari right hand drive point and Jonny's comment re Italian driving; Italy drove on the left in the early years and Lancia continued to make its cars in right hand drive for the Italian market right up until the early 1950's.
Martin, thanks for this info. I had no idea.
I may be wrong, but older Italians would order right hand drive cars for as long as they could, even though traffic had long gone left hand drive.
Another reason was it was deemed safer to be driving on the same side as the kerb when in deep fog which most of northern Italy suffers from in winter
@@musiccylinderK6 I think that was the reason that the Ford GT40 was RHD - just to make it safer in the pit area at Le Mans

Will was just another fantastic guest and your comment on how we forget about manufacturers and history gone by is correct. We are getting to a point where large parts of car history is getting lost to the archives. But shows like yours help to bring it back and document it for our future.
Well done and good effort.
Never make this into a proper TV show as it would get ruined by production and commercialism. You tube has its bad points, but this show is an example of why you tube can also be great.
hes sitting on a litteral gold mine what a collection hopefully they can be but back on the road before they all rust to pieces
What with no engines in anything?
Not the only barn...........so come back in 15 years and they'll still be here untouched. Just collecting salvage if they never come back to life.
@@hoonaticbloggs5402 that 166MM alone is worth over 3 million.
@@licencetoswill And cant even buy car covers for em...
@@mmac1189 It's a shame, really.
Discovered this channel earlier tonight though the barn find Espada. That was a great video, so is this. Thanks so much to Will for sharing his collection of cars.
There's a Charger in there!!!
Yeah, we didn't talk about it because it isn't Will's. It is being stored for a mate.
@@TheLateBrakeShow great show Johnny! Keep it up, I have a 71 Buick Riviera, that's turning into a barn.. I need to sort it 😊
Sort that Riv out, even with a bit of progress every week or so.
@@TheLateBrakeShow I wake up in the middle of night cursing myself, why I have even attempted to crank it over in 2 years.. Bad 😞
Get some diesel down the bores, fresh oil, fresh fuel and crank it with the HT lead off.
Wow Jonny, that was off the clock. Just one of those cars could have filled a 20 min feature...Amazing ! You're really cooking now geezer... keep the pedal to the metal . Congrats & thanks to the kind owner willing to share
A Fronty Ford old enough to have been under the personal wrenches of the Chevrolet Bros. A Plymouth Road Runner on the wrong side of the pond that didn't make the cut. And there's more you say?
Much more!
Dear Jonny, I've been barn finding your videos on here and I have to say this episode is by far my favourite and I would love to see a follow up to this. As soon as you mentioned J. Geils, I wanted to watch it again! Thanks Jonny and keep up the good work
Wouldn't it be good if some or most of those cars were found homes where they could be looked after properly and someone could drive and enjoy them occasionally?
Look after them properly? What do you think this is guy is doing. He buys them to restore them and get them running, did you even watch the video?
Probably my favourite as the owner is an absolute gem of a man.
