So very sorry for your puppy loss. We had a litter of standard Goldendoodle puppies this past Thursday. Our Kensi had 8 but the 7th puppy came out stillborn we did everything we could but could not get her breathing. The last puppy number 8 was so very active and is healthy. We got our first litter with dark chocolate puppies. I would love to keep one but we have kept 3 female puppies from our foundation dog our Callie. We have 4 females and think we reached our limit. But our son is getting a chocolate and white parti girl. So we will be able to visit. Our Kensi such a cdlm and great temperament girl. Her puppies all seem to get her temperament. Congratulations on your litter that you will pick your puppy from. All the ones we kept we genetically tested for the best puppy for our program

We have a 12yr age gap between our dogs too. It's worked out great so far, our 12yr old has become playful again and they've bonded well. On their way to becoming partners in crime!
They're all gorgeous, I'm sure which ever one you choose will be beautiful. It will be so nice watching your pup grow up and be trained etc as I always feel a bit cheated when they leave and go to their forever homes because we don't get to see them develop so it will be wonderful to see your pup grow up in real time. I watch the Mcann Dog training channel too as I hope to get myself a pup when I have moved house and country hopefully later on this year.

No, It would be really hard to have all of these females in heat around a male dog. So we are sticking with a girl. If a temperament doesn’t emerge that we love,we would have to wait for another litter.
I'm one of those ppl I don't go in looking for color or gender or type when picking a pet cause of I did I would be looking forever I'm happy with all types as long as they don't bite we live in a neighborhood with kids so don't want the your dog bit my dog that's the main training I stay on top of every year as we don't let dogs that tend to bite run free because of that reason their not mean but they will let you know if they don't want to be touched they keep their distance the most they will do is bark at youi remember losing a puppy still born 8 pups in such a small dog plus she was protective of them i don't know if it was a girl or if that hadn't been formed all ik it wasn't a male if it was a female would have been the only female of the litter we lost 3 over the next few days but my gramps had told mom if she could raise four then shes a good mom she wasn't mean when she was protective but she curled into a tight ball to where it was hard for all of them to suck but she raised the four survivors till 6 weeks old where we lost three of them to parvo luckily their brother was given away before the parvo episode but told the owners if he show signs to bring him back and we would refund them he lived for a long time lost contact with the owners last time heard about him he was 15 about 10-15 years back

Between 7-9 is a great place to start breeding, skip a day and then breed again. Eggs are released at 5.
