- The gorgeous ladies of En Vogue sings this song flawlessly. This is a response to Destiny's Child singing the national anthem better than En Vogue, without there being a En Vogue video to compare too. LOL... Enjoy (This is not an attack against Destiny's Child. I love them as well.)

Some people complained that the Star Spangled Banner shouldn't have been sung in do-wop style. I say screw 'em--this was 100% FLAWLESS.

charles turner -- there were quite a few people that didnt like it at all. Some said it wasn't "American" or a disgrace to the original score. Google it. I was shocked myself. My girls did it though!! BEAUTIFULLY!!!

This lil' two minute video pretty much shows why En Vogue was so amazing. They've switched parts so many times and never once lost the blending in the harmony. Each woman had their time to shine in the lead and then came together to create the awesome harmony they're known for. Easily my favorite vocal performance from them!
The vocals of the original members are unmatched still to this day

Damn Dawn's soprano on the "land of the free" run was just sooooo silky smooth and powerful. Beautiful voices and beautiful vocal run!!! I love them so much,
Terry at the end Terry Ellis hit that high pitch perfectly all four were amazing
Naw, listen again, She was actually a little sharp which threw off the harmony a little and Max maybe faded away too soon with that vibrato at the end as well.

Terry is such a great, natural singer, that it doesn't even look like she's singing. Like, the sound that comes out of her mouth, her falsetto or her strong belt register, seems fake because she doesn't strain AT ALL. Like at 1:45 with that top note until the end - it seems fake, but it's not. She is AMAZING.
Effortless...it's like they are just having fun. Like they could do this in their sleep.I love that in En Vouge that their talent is so evenly distributed. They are all equally talented and if you had to pick the best or the star..you just couldn't. Amazing
Do you know how hard that is to do. Each of their voices play a role and are very important. One messes up or slips it’s all bad. This is real talent 😍
There hasnt be a group that offered as much as En Vogue.. they sung live, and danced around the stage, and had style...who else has done that?
what I love about en vogue is that no one member is bigger than another....THIS IS A REAL GIRL GROUP!
I use to argue with people on YT who acted like En Vogue's harmonies were lacking in Dawn's absence. I loved Dawn's soulful, powerful vocals from day one but Cindy and Terry were my favorite so I didn't want to hear any of that but over the past few years I've been catching their LIVE act and listening to them on YT and Dawn's shit is stellar. I ain't even gon' front.

That Dawn is flawless when it comes to those soprano notes. She is hitting all high all high notes, but everyone always thinks it's Terry.
Probably because Terry usually does them, especially from "the land of the free" and "brave". If you look at them singing this here at some boxing match, Terry's mic was lower so you could tell she sang the higher notes.
Keep telling people that. Terry and Dawn have the highest ranges but Dawn can damn near whistle.

Oh my gosh their vocals are insane! They're 4 terrific dexterous vocalists. I wonder why this has such low views when compared with other renditions, this is the best rendition of the National Anthem I've ever heard so far.

They sounded absolutely amazing! Not a single note off key. I have this whole show on VHS (with Johnny GIll) but missed the very beginning...memories! Flawless...this is REAL singing here.

well the best thign about MyNyce's comment is that there isnt anymore TLC or Destiny child.... just en vogue!! so who knows what the future holds for them as far as owning what they started.... 19 years in the biz and they are still touring... i spent New Years with them (cindy dawn terry and max) it was unforgetable... they are very nice ladies!! STILL HOT!! CLASSY!

Dawn is the second from the left, Cindy is farthest right. As far as the highest sopranos, on "the land of the free", Dawn has the highest part, and on the last word "brave", Terry (farthest left) has the highest part.
I hope my ear has gotten better. Lol. On "land of the free", on "free", Terry is the top actually, so she and Dawn did a quick switch there. Nice!

Loved it you ladies through down and Terry you with that beautiful upper registry I like how you sing in that mix voice and how you quickly go into your head notes you really execute those high notes they are flawless not to take anything from the rest of you ladies because you all have beautiful unique voices and I enjoyed listening to you all

You're right it is not flat. I think she actually overshoots the note so it must be a little sharp. The vibrato helps balance the note IMO
