Damn, that DOES look like where Kirk fought the Gorn! Dude should of just gotten a piece of bamboo, some random colored dust, fake coal and diamonds and built a cannon! 😂
Nice. Not a lot of people put thought into how first contact could IMMEDIATELY go wrong with certain civilizations or species. Like how the North Sentinel Island people viciously attack any intruders so they stay an isolated and tribal type people. Even if you can communicate with them, doesn't always mean they're gonna accept outsiders. Especially when it comes to planets
Very intriguing idea and iconic (original Star Trek series) location! Love the music, too! Thank for for including the titles and artists in the credits! Found them all!!! :)
I dont know where this film was done but it all fit in the woods are scarey place and i did not think this place was so scarey i was so rough great job hope to see more
Damn, yo! That was f*cked up! Dude survived a crash landing, and escaped the wreckage seconds before the whole thing explodes into a massive fireball. Then, spotting signs of civilization, dude stumbles upon some tribal aliens, who spot and chase him down, taking him out with a boomerang to the back of the head. That sucks.
I feel like the rock knew the future. It was mimicking his wife’s voice when she would have found out that he was dead. She would have been crying and saying “we could have been so happy”. It was also implied that she didn’t want him to go. I loved this.
He takes off his mask after the explosion and is elated that he found the spot where Captain Kirk fought a Gorn.

I'm pretty sure most people understand that first contact with a alien civilization might be violate.
@@roso614volatile?
Not sure this qualifies as 'cosmic horror'.
The threat is pretty clear as are the bad guys.
beginning is genius way to establish character... black screen with crazy sound effects is more suspenseful than actually showing it.
Very interesting & how humanlike the aliens were to kill first & not even ask later .
Ahh... the old Aztec whistle trick. works every time.

Yeah, I kept expecting a Gorn to show up and kick his @ss! Lol!

No space hippies on this planet Jack me boyo!
Space Hippies were bound for Eden, man.... Like, you dig?
If it was me I’d have tried to reach the car in the distance when I was looking at that first spiral.
good use of rossendales singing ringing tree. good video and great imagination.
It's unique and I loved it.

Ill never let go, jack...
I would not say that seeing natives and running away qualifies as "first contact". 😂
Or crash landing. First contact needs to be way better controlled and bring some weapons while your at it.
Super
it is important for cosmic horror to be mysterious to a certain degree
Ace 😎😎😎
Clearly, they hunted him because he forgot the land acknowledgement
Важно, что все эти варианты реальности засеваются в наше сознание!!! Кем? Зачем?
Думайте об этом!
Interesting and well acted and written but not Cosmic Horror
The Howling Rock statue at the end is supposed to be the otherwordly, ancient, and mysterious cosmic horror aspect to the film.
This was awesome.
Where was this filmed? The landscape looks super familiar but I can't place it.
My bet is on New Mexico.
Vazquez Rocks in Agua Dulce CA. They filmed the episode of Star Trek where Captain Kirk fights a Gorn there.
@@Wicked-Man-Studioswe were right! 😄
That place was also at the beginning of the pilot episode of Airwolf@@Wicked-Man-Studios

I hope they cleaned the graffiti of that rock after the film !
This movie gave me the deep uneasy feeling a horror movie is supposed to.
Jack weren’t nimble or quick …..
Artsy stories that leave people guessing aren't interesting, they are frustrating.
Ugh. Another wanna be “evil item (rock) absorbs body”
