I really can’t thank you enough for this series. Although I have read the material many times, I can’t retain much that I read. This style of study is truly the only way I can learn. Thank you so very much! Because of you, I made a 100 on my level one. I truly am grateful.
I have my WSET level 2 exam tomorrow morning. I was feeling quite nervous, but I listened to all 6 videos in the car on the drive home after Christmas celebrations with the family, and I'm not feeling too bad?! Thank you 😊
Well done … I’m just about to start the in person course and look forward to building on my skills and knowledge with a real foundation. This series inspired me to go take the in person WSET2 course. Cheers!
Just finished watching the whole WSET level 2 walkthrough and thank you so much! I'm having my RI exam tomorrow and hoping to get a distinction and your videos are such a big help, they are all so informative and easy to digest.
Truly appreciate these videos. My test is tomorrow and I’ve had them on repeat. It’s almost like you’ve released them all just for me :-) love the channel. One tip for the videos is to list temperatures in Fahrenheit as well. Cheers from California 🥂
When you are talking about cork taint, I believe that you mis-spoke. Cork taint is actually referring to TCA, not when the cork allows oxygen to get into the bottle and thus "oxidize" the wine, which is cork FAILURE (whether it is from a poor cork from the start OR when a bottle has been stored inproperly and the cork dries out.) Just wanted to clarify. Thank you for your videos!
You've done a really great job of creating content that is both educational and entertaining. The mnemonic devices you've set up have really helped me. Thank you!!
I have my exam tomorrow, and would like to say thank you for this series. It has helped me a lot with confidence on how to tackle the real thing tomorrow.
Thank you, I have found your style of presenting and going through the different Learning outcomes very helpful. I will be doing the in-person session starting next week in Calgary Ab Canada
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your videos. I'll be taking the L2 exam on April 20th. I'm not thrilled that our exam has moved online...I'm used to paper & pencil. Certainly don't need the extra stress of an unexpected technological horror show!
You are great, great channel i have been a long time subcriber, i am takin my lvl 2 soon and You have been of great help. i have recommended Your channel to my friends. THANK YOU
@@TheGrapeExplorer Thank you so much these videos. You provided a wonderful review as well as the logic/thought processed needed to answer the questions.
Hi GE, so I am sitting my WSET level 2 soon, online as its covid. I have a question regarding the exam that my online tutor hasn't really been able to answer and I wonder if you may know the answer/ anyone in the comments. We are provided a textbook in which to learn from, now the textbook goes into (what I believe to be) a-lot of detail. Take Chardonnay for example; the book details, how its grown, what type of climate produces what type of yield, the main countries, the main regions in those countries and then to specific details about individual vineyards, (named ofcourse) and how they differ (south facing slope etc). For this exam of which I want to achieve high marks should I really know this level of detail for every single grape variety? Looking at the recommended study time it seems I have far surpassed the supposed total for study time and yet I'm roughly 7/8 wines in. The time I am spending seems natural when trying to learn and remember tens to hundreds of individual vineyards, their names & how they differ - ontop of everything else in the book. Please let me if I am maybe focusing on too much & in reality I should just learn, the main countries, climates, regions & yield etc. My tutor told me to learn what the book says so hoping you can maybe clarify.
My notes from Level 2 were all based on the exam. You could get a question about the expected aromas from a warm climate Chardonnay and so in that respect you really are expected to know the book inside out. You might be asked which of the following produces premium Chardonnay and then be provided a list of countries so it's best you know it as much as possible. Good luck
