  • The second WSET quiz is live! This quiz is going to focus on food and wine pairings. There will be a few questions on the exam but not too many. The benefit of this section is that it can add a little buffer to your score in case you are having a hard time with another chapter. Let us know how you did in the comments below!

    Questions and content are great, however need to make sure you video feed does not block the content. Some of the in the lower right-hand portion of the slides were covered up

      100% agree. I realized that was a problem after I recorded the first two videos. I fixed it for future quizzes.

    Thank u for ur work, but little advice, I would prefer to see options of answers in front of me while thinking of the answer than to see take a pause if u need...

      Thanks for the feedback. I have a few more that I already recorded, but I haven't finished editing. I'll see if I can fit that into that work when I get it out.

    Isnt zinfandel recommended with bbq? Guess they dont mean spicy bbq.
    Spicy food i always recommend a sauv blanc

      The thing with Zinfandel is that it makes super hearty wine which is good for the big, bold flavor of BBQ. However, it tends to run high in alcohol which enhances chili (capsaicin) heat effects and can also be pretty tannin heavy which will increase the "dry" sensation on the palate. In reality, you can drink whatever you want with your food and I won't judge but this was the best answer according to the content of the text.
      I do love me some Sauv Blanc and spicy food. I also like medium-dry wines with spicy food too. That sweet and spicy pairing is fun.

      @@WineOnTheDime zin usually drinks hot anyways. The problem i have with people especially in texas is the insecurity men have with white wine. Something i have to tiptoe around as a server.
