Nah Human companies care about money. Not breeding season. But they should 😭😭😭
But then they'll be over run by those crabs
actually they do close the road sometimes. They've also buit small overbridges over the road in some areas and installed guard rails on the side of the road so that they'll be forced to go over the bridge. I found this on a site later

@@feitan5919 Well, the migration shown in this video is actually in Cuba, not in Christmas Island. There, in Cuba, they don't protect the red crab migration, I've seen this situation with my own eyes, thousands die under the cars tires.

1. the video never says that the females are the only ones to migrate, only that many crabs carry eggs. Many. Not all.
2. That is not how any salmon life cycle progresses.

@@sussekind9717 Sorry. The title had me thinking so. Actually both male and female migrate towards the coast. Males usually arrive first. They then dig a hole for mating and waits for the females to arrive. They actually mate and lay eggs at the coast itself and then they go back. I also found out that the roads are sometimes closed during the migrating season and there are small over bridges in certain area for them to pass. Its been a while since I've seen the salmon video. Sorry for the misinformation.

Seems Cubans can learn a thing or two from those folks over yonder on Christmas Island.

I've been in cars and trucks that smash those poor crabs, travelling from one village to another. The extention they take to migrate from inland to the sea is very wide. This video was recorded in Cuba. There they don't have resourses to prevent this sad event, many roads are not paved, and also there is no conscience in people and autorities to even try to minimize this problem. There people fish green sea turtle, collect their eggs, it is forbiden by law but people still do, and the law is not enforced strong enough to stop it. Unfortunatley we humans have invaded animals territories; in developed countries thousands of wild animals die on the roads, and every day we see less because there are less of them wandering around, because we have almost exterminated them with our intrincated road webs. Here in Florida squirrels, possums, armadillos, racoons, deers, birds, rabbits, snakes, turtles, frogs, etc., die the same under cars tires. How many other sea cratures die due to our plastics that end in the oceans?
Of course we should do anything at hand to minimize our impact, at least not contributing with these nonsense killings, as far as we can.

The reason why this happens is because there's barely enough food in Cuba. I know because I was born there. People are given rations based on the amount of people in the household. Desperate times call for desperate measures. When you're starving you don't think about the betterment of other species- you think about yourself. And rightfully so.
This is just like that other Nature Program years ago in the early years of the 21st Century. What was the name of that program again? Oh yeah, “Cuba: Wild Island of the Caribbean”.
I went to a beach on the bay in south fl. Tons of mangroves. I get home go in the house.then an hour later i hear something slammimg up against my glass door. I look out and its a red crab. Must of hitched a ride under my truck. I lived on a brackish canal. So it ended up fine .

I saw one video where it was supposed to be about telling us that's all we need to do something about crabs Cuba needs to do something about the crabs Crossing. But I'm like I don't think Cuba is going to care because they are a Communist government and also the crabs cross them lay eggs but they're still breeding a lot they're like bugs see bugs that's all. They don't mind if any of their buddies get run over if any of their happy to enjoy a lunch break of they're fallen friends.

Thanks to The God of the Bible who created the crabs to be one of many creatures to keep our oceans' ecological balance from all the trash we humans damp in them.
Imagine being one of those 80,000 eggs per crab mama (and there are millions of them). You will never really meet your biological mom as you grow up. Just impossible. ✌️

There are so many great voice actors. PBS decided to check all the woke boxes rather than hire someone with quality acting chops. If you can’t cover an accent you are not a voice actor you are an entirely unnecessary affirmative action program
Interesting stuff, but the voiceover guys accent was vile. Use someone with a more socially acceptable accent. Not this for sure.
