    Antonelli baseball explains it better in my opinion. This guy's method focuses on the hands too much and not enough about footwork and how you use your legs to get power and drive the ball. Everything starts with the legs it is the basis of power in every movement, pitching, hitting and so on.

I also used to sqush da bug and hated knee down for catcher! Yet now my son caught Varsity as freshman and last year in 10th was top ten in state of NC (first half year till stats dude got lazy and stopped keeping it) in runners caught stealing! STILL dont agree with "back hand inside pitch " with high elbow but like with hitting found a happy middle mox of old and new school! Frame with some hip sway and around da ball...NEVER SNAP outside id shoulders to jerk back to middle mid...UMPS luv behind my son cause he makes them look good and gets ball put calls for it...two balls out it goes back to pitcher without parents yelling at ump cause it was JERKD back AFTER CATCH...the mitt movement is BEFORE contact and ones contact made if done correct by time ya stick ya IN DA ZONE!

    What you are saying isn’t correctly modeled. You look like you’re twisting without forward tilt or momentum. You are absolutely correct but just modeling it weird because your not actually hitting a thrown ball and leaving out a few things… also when you talk about your hands you should make sure that your viewers know that things (body parts) get moved as opposed to you moving them… so your top hand thumb isn’t proactively engaging it’s muscles into the action but getting moved because it’s attached to a locked top hand attached to the moving forearm parts…
    Again, these things are hard to talk about because of the nuances but I like your style and you definitely know your swing or the swing.
    The main ideas of what you are saying are spot on.
    The barrel turns behind you as we align ourselves to hit the ball somewhere and after we know where to hit the ball, the big core movement that flips, swivels or pushes us into holding on to the bat through the zone.
    It all happens really fast and it all happens behind us while every thing besides us is just hanging on…

    • @djuramalevic9919
      @djuramalevic9919 Рік тому

      Not to get too much into batting theory but we must align than push….
      The alignment (gravitational fall, bottom or lead hand pinch or control, rear leg directional force and/or the combination of them all, but better not to go there) places the barrel behind us and aligns the barrel behind the ball to the target ….
      Notice the “ to the target”…and
      the push ought to be self explanatory…
      Seriously… notice the target… we don’t hit the ball… we hit the ball somewhere… and said somewhere ought to be know as it’s certainly known prior to hitting the ball…
      Most great hitters know or have a good idea where they hit the ball before they are hitting the ball…
      Push swings are completely a different thing. A push swing isn’t a high level baseball swing.

    I always say, you want to swing like your back foot is a screw and the rest of your body is the screwdriver. Whether that's right or wrong, I've seen a 200% increase in the amount of homeruns I've hit. 😂

    It makes sense, but you're creating bat speed before you know where you're going to make contact with ball. You're contacting the ball behind your body rather than in front where you'll see the ball. 🤔
