So fun to see the inspiration for your beautiful gully garden! I cut back my astilbe and echinacea in early spring. I love the added texture in the winter and snow. Also, the goldfinch love to eat echinacea seeds.

That nursery garden area is gorgeous. Planting white flowering plants is great for a wedding venue. It’s terrific that that place is special to you. The photos from your wedding were wonderful; thanks for sharing those. Your flower beds are SOOO PRETTY! There’s so much color and texture, so much for the eye to see. You are so funny running to the barn so you won’t see any mice. I chuckle when I watch you do that, but hey little tree frogs freak me out. Oh! We’l add statues with weapons to the scary gardening items. There are statues of little girls feeding birds, ladies holding water jugs, etc. I have a statue of St.Francis in my front planting bed. I bet you’ll find one when you aren’t looking for it. Love the videos.

Nice to see Astilbes, my mother had four clumps in her garden until I did a makeover about 20 years ago and removed them because the bee’s were ignoring them. Wish I’d kept some now. Lovely garden 👍👍

One of my hosta grew a leaf the same color as that one called dream weaver. I separated that sport from the rest and grew it in a pot and all it’s new shoots reverted back to the original plant lol so instead of a cultivar, I just had a hiccup 😅

Any plans on when your going to start your secret garden? When I was a kid, about 55 years ago I think, I saw a movie called the secret garden and it impressed me so much that I’ve always wanted a secret garden but have never been able to live somewhere where I could accomplish that. I loved that movie. There’s lots of versions of it not sure if we seen the same one. I might start this fall we will see how much I can get done. Gotta be careful and take my time cuz of poison Ivy 😬🫣
I have the weedeater, blower, and a lawn mower that use batteries. They do a good job, aren't so noisy, and eliminate all the gas and oil choices. I think you'd love them.
We call it a weed eater down here in Louisiana. I will do it occasionally on our property after I mow. It does take a toll on my back and arms though. 😊

Hello Jes, since I looked for heuchera videos I keep on watching your videos. I find your garden is very interesting as your approach is very different as you garden with leaves forms and colours mostly and you have completely different climate, and regional difficulties as I am Graden in Germany. Maybe you can explain in one of your videos why you have such a short garden season. Is it too hot/ dry or is it turning cold ? As well I found it quite interesting that you try to keep your plants apart because of 🐍. I do want the opposite as it is a extra layer of protection that keeps the moisture in the soil so I aim for no earth showing. I love when you explain this little differences. So I keep on investigating your way of gardening.

Hi, Jes! Did you take the choke off? The smoke comes out when you don’t turn it off. Then the machine shuts itself off later. My son killed ours that way. It lasted for quite a few years though.😆 That garden center is so beautiful!

Any plans on when your going to start your secret garden? When I was a kid, about 55 years ago I think, I saw a movie called the secret garden and it impressed me so much that I’ve always wanted a secret garden but have never been able to live somewhere where I could accomplish that. So I’m really looking forward to yours! 🌺💚🙃
I loved that movie. There’s lots of versions of it not sure if we seen the same one. I might start this fall we will see how much I can get done. Gotta be careful and take my time cuz of poison Ivy 😬🫣
Those orb spiders are great Garden spiders and eat the bad bugs. If you have a lot of snakes you might wear garden boots to keep from getting bit.

I have the weedeater, blower, and a lawn mower that use batteries. They do a good job, aren't so noisy, and eliminate all the gas and oil choices. I think you'd love them.

We call it a weed eater down here in Louisiana. I will do it occasionally on our property after I mow. It does take a toll on my back and arms though. 😊

Hello Jes, since I looked for heuchera videos I keep on watching your videos. I find your garden is very interesting as your approach is very different as you garden with leaves forms and colours mostly and you have completely different climate, and regional difficulties as I am Graden in Germany.
Maybe you can explain in one of your videos why you have such a short garden season. Is it too hot/ dry or is it turning cold ? As well I found it quite interesting that you try to keep your plants apart because of 🐍. I do want the opposite as it is a extra layer of protection that keeps the moisture in the soil so I aim for no earth showing. I love when you explain this little differences. So I keep on investigating your way of gardening.

Hi, Jes! Did you take the choke off? The smoke comes out when you don’t turn it off. Then the machine shuts itself off later. My son killed ours that way. It lasted for quite a few years though.😆 That garden center is so beautiful!
Lol I probly didn’t take the choke off. That thing is not my strong suit. Next time I’ll remember. 👍🏻
