I keep coming back to this song, it gives me really strong Castlevania vibes. The arrangement is killer, the organ is a really nice backdrop for the high piano and string parts but the thing I love most is the motif at 0:30, especially when it comes back at 1:45. I didn't notice the first couple times I listened to the song, but I love how the frantic high piano part gets translated to (or at least imitated by) the low piano voice here; it sounds like it's arpeggiating up to ♭9 which gives a subtle unnerving feeling under the more stable tones in the horns. I would love an hour+ long version of this song! Also, it's really crazy that this only took you two hours to write lol.
I super appreciate this analysis!!! It was actually a really long time ago when I wrote this, like years at this point, but I remember I was in the car while my mom was at work and I was riding along in the car with her and I just sat outside of her office and wrote all the parts and mixed it when I got home. It definitely took me more than 2 hours to get the whole thing done! And also I absolutely adore the Castlevania OSTS, and if I remember correctly I was binge listening to the DS Castlevania games at the time I wrote this, so no surprise that I took a lot of inspiration!
