Would be great with a general update on the rebuild, feels like its been ages ago the "incident" happened and ive yet to see the car outside or used in any of your videos.
I understand that, yes. I want to have the car on the road again too. That said, some things are actually happening behind the scenes, for better or for worse. Next video will be an interesting one, I guess.
Just ordered the m performance brake kit (orange set) and this would be a good thing to grab right out of the gate. I do plan on doing some semi basic towing with my 328d wagon so having the extra heat control will be good for going down mountains
Question: Can I pay you to call me every morning at 7 am to scream my out of bed? Anywho; Awesome content, amazing channel, proud to be a friend of this close to one million follower Bimfluencer! XXX 🏆
@@TheHunterHofman yes picked it up today I have done 400 miles in it, I miss the sound of the n55 and the more “alive” harsher ride, I genuinely feel so sad I miss my old car, it feels like being dumped by someone you were in love with, I’m gutted 😭 I think I’m honestly going to sell up and buy an OG back .
@@TheHunterHofman I have just seen your post on bimmerpost. If your thinking of going S55 please take lots of test drives first I genuinely have an M2 comp on my driveway now and wish I could turn back time have my OG back. The difference in sound and how the N55 made me feel is like the difference between a V12 engine and a 4 cylinder fiesta engine. I think I’m going to have to cut my losses and try and get an OG M2 back.
You insulate the heat to the pads themselves instead of allowing it to go to the more vulnerable seals and fluid. Imo I think that's fine, because you can get really really high temp rated pads like the Ferrodo DS3.12 which is rated for insanely high temps and still retains it's coefficient of friction. The same goes to Carbotech's XP12. So imo I'd rather leave the heat in the pads because you can get pad compounds that can tolerate it. Whereas with brake fluids you don't have much flexibility, after Castrol SRF there's nothing left. Same with the seals.
@TheHunterHofman the problem with this that these pads are sport/track use and work the best at high temps. I've used these and they absolutely terrible for city/short driving because they do not provide stopping power before they get to certain temperature
Cleaning m2 brake dust in a white shirt…. Very risky hahaha, but great vid 🫡
Haha yeah, it was 😂 thanks for your comment
Dude thank you so much for all the m2 content. Not only is it very entertainin and funny, but has extremely helpful information.
Thanks buddy, appreciate it a lot!
Great video as always!
Good upgrade, such strong breaks on a lightweight small car, very good!
Thanks for commenting again man🫶🏻 appreciate it as always
Great content as always bro, brake upgrades are such an underrated mod but so effective for everyday use
Thank you brother!

Change of tone, when inserted. -Yes.
A bit like with a woman lol (joking)

Yeah, might as well. It’s a cheap and effective upgrade. Hope you liked the video 🙏

If you ever need another sportscar for some insane content you can always take my Kia Carens 🤙🏼
Thanks man! I’m already using your wife for some insane content. We upload that to OnlyFans, it’s really nice.
But it wasn't better to put new ones on.
You mean new brake pads? I wasn’t aware of them being pitted. That said, if I notice poor stopping power, I’ll swap them out.
Something tells me that having hot pads are as bad as having hot rotors. Very questionable upgrade

They're more expensive than stock - nothing cheap about them.
Tbh i though it hit a million subs months ago
Yeah, that’s true. Loads of people unsubscribed unfortunately, so we try again. No biggie
Ballsy move doing a brake job in a white business shirt :)
Hehe, I like to live dangerously
FIRST!
You hereby win the M2, congrats!!
