nice review, wonder how this compares to the ST Models Blaze, except for the forward swept wing they look identical, soon as this is released I well be getting one, just finished the build on the Blaze, haven't flown it yet, waiting on the correct batteries to arrive, the Blaze is shipped with a supertiger end, thats old school, I see the Excaliber comes with the yellow end, would be so simple if everybody would use the same connections, gets really frustrating.
I love you guys and you do a great service. I have a suggestion that will improve your mission - get a tripod with a swivel head. If you don't have $60 like that, a $15 monopod will do wonders. Not trying to be unappreciative, just trying to help.
The Excalibur is sleeker with less drag and will glider better. Haven't flown the V70 yet to give you a real comparison, but I like the looks of the Excalibur better.
We usually video the maiden flights to make sure and have some video in case something bad happens. So yes this was the very first flight on this plane.

That would work for talking but it would never work for flying videos.

Not that I've noticed. I don't use full throttle for very long though. Mostly just in short bursts to get some altitude quickly.

About 6 minutes on an 1800. Sure you could add FPV, but space is tight.

You could fit maybe a 2500 in there, it really depends on the battery as there are so many different sizes for the same capacity.
