It's amazing to think that Richard Harris was looking so lively and his mind still so sharp only 2 years before his sad passing. He was playing Dumbledore, he played the priest in the Count of Monte Cristo not long after this video was made in 2000. And that was quite a physical role for his condition and age. It all goes too fast, but it does make me smile seeing him and Peter O'Toole still having fun in their 70's. Truly an inspiration.

O'Toole was asked on one of the talk shows (Charlie Rose, I think) what he would like on his epitaph. He said, "It distresses us to return work that is not perfect."

My Dad played for Leinster Schools around the same time as Richard played for Munster. This video shows two people who really enjoy life, which is important because life is so short.
