    Variations;
Instead of salt and thyme, try these:
    1. Cinnamon and sugar
    2. Orange zest and sugar

Hi Pam, I think that another way to go would be to coat the bread stick on bought sides then roll them in parmesan or Romano cheese. What a great way for dipping in your soup or marinara sauce. I think I'm going to try this out. Or maybe sprinkle lightly old bay seasoning on them, and dip them in clam chowder.
    Thanks for the recipe.

After watching your video it makes me realize why I keep coming back time after time. I find you (and Jim) not only informative but also entertaining in a way that just gives me that "feel good" feeling and gives me the desire to try out what Pam's doing. Thank you for all your expert advice and just plain making my day. Happy New Year to you both!! I will make some of these later in the week when we put a bunch of leftovers together to make a hearty soup or stew.

Good afternoon to you lovely lady and your husband. So very glad that I came across your channel just before Xmas. I live in London UK and decided to make my own bread and purchased a breadmaker. After watching your channel I realised that I don't need the expensive machine so it's on its way back. Following your recipe gave me excellent results.Looking forward to making these bread sticks. Warm wishes to you all and a very blessed 2025. And thank you.

Pam, I really love seeing both you and your husband together and the love that emulates between you two.
    You both are amazing!
I have a smaller food processor than yours that my husband bought me from Costco earlier in 2024 that I've used maybe twice. Looking at it it says it mixes dough so I'll see if I can do this recipe in it. Those cinnamon sugar ones pique my interest. Kind of in the churro category, but not deep fried...a little healthier version.

What a fun recipe. I would think before twisting these maybe sprinkle them with the cinnamon sugar or orange sugar would be better. Less waste that way and it coulf be pressed into the dough a bit so it holds on too.
Another savory one would be rosemary garlic. Use plive oil infused with garlic and bits of rosemary incorporated into the dough. Finely grated parmesan cheese would be good too.
I noticed the dough springing back when you were working with it. It might be good to let ot test so it relaxes better.
These are going in my reecipe box for sure.

Keep it up! Y'all are adorable and I love watching you have fun.
As for the bread sticks, both versions look good, but cheese is sadly missing! Maybe roll them in Parmesan cheese/Italian seasoning blend to serve with spaghetti or lasagna. I like the idea of the orange zest/sugar blend, but be sure to have some "glaze" to dip them in.
    Thanks for a fun video!

You could also brush them with egg whites and a bit of water to brown them more for visual appeal. Also brush them before you divide them into 1/2” strips, just for ease in labour.

Jim & Pam have your read "Wheat Belly"? Great book explains why wheat/grains today are not the grains of those in our ancestors and have been adaulterated such that they're really no longer health for us to consume. With America's raging obestiy and diabetes (and many other health issues due to unhealthy food consumption) I'd think you'd be all over that

I made Irish Soda Bread only once and loved it so much that I quit before I got addicted. LOL Wonder if these breadsticks would work with making bread sticks with some baking soda instead of baking powder?
I might just make a smaller loaf of Irish Soda Bread again and take some of the dough and make a few bread sticks to see if they work. At least if they are flops, I still would have a small loaf of bread.
