- We set out to Overland the Bruneau Desert on the Edge of the Forgotten part of Idaho. We made sure to have fun on this video. From the "epic" trailer at the beginning, to giving Tim a hard time for being last to pack up camp...this trip was all about fun..and mud...and views...and friendship...you know...Overlanding stuff. You'll find Jeeps, Tundras, and Land Rover Discos all getting along!

I smiled throughout this entire video. Such a great video. I won't lie it makes me a bit envious seeing the way you and your friends interact and explore together. I seek it, but I have never found that. Thanks for sharing! I also like how you added the history of the area in there. That's something my wife and I really like to find. We actually found an old uranium mine out exploring our side of the state last weekend. Anyway keep the great content coming friend. I Look forward to the next one!

Sometimes you have an idea..and you just have to go with it...even if it's super dumb lol...but ya I had a ton of fun with this one..so glad you think it landed.

That boulder is still there! Dude, one of my first UA-cam VLOGs from 4 years ago I did that route and came up on that rock and was like, well I'm not gonna fit. That pretty much means no one has moved it, becuase it was there in my video too. Good call.
I actually watched your vid before we went lol. I think I saw on a local facebook group that someone made that run this year...so I'm guessing they winched the boulder..that trail would be tough in a full size truck no matter what though.some of the washouts are treacherous...still gonna try it again though lol!
Love seeing the videos of Idaho. I live in Boise and have traveled back roads but just got a Jeep which is opening my horizons. You tell a great story with your videos and I especially love hearing the history of the places you travel. Also love that you share the experiences with your family.

Good news is that the rock is now gone. Just did this trail at the end of June but came up the other way. Had the blood pumping at some of those spots where the side was washed out.

Aussie here and it's really interesting seeing places in other countries, it's so very different scenery and challenge wise but the vehicles essentially are all kitted out the same, except you guys don't seem to rock bullbars and just swap Toyota for Jeep it seems lol.
You Aussie's kind of invented the way we do it over here in the States. We do love our Jeeps over here...and we love to put big tires on things lol. So appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment on this vid!
Loved the video! I came across the Cherry stem by accident early last year. No snow left at the time but I was still too nervous to go down. I was in a new (to me) rig and didn’t feel that I knew the limits or the size of it quite yet so we ended up turning around too. I can’t blame you at all for calling it off with the trail covered in snow!
It's a wicked trail for sure...I really want to go back and try again, but depending on how the winter affected it, it could be dangerous. The consolation prize for turning around was pretty great though...what a crazy remote area out there! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!!

Know the mud. Was out at Owyhee last month. Lot of mud ponds and my Jeep was covered with that mud when I was done. Needless to say, since I was alone, I didn't take too many chances. No trees to help with winching.

@@Venture2Roam I can't remember, but did I meet you at a Team Overland winter camp about 2 years ago? Had a good time there also. I had the FJ Cruiser. Now own a Rubicon Unlimited.

Hi Nomar, we very much support leave no trace and tread lightly…and definitely teach our kids about it as well. No one is perfect, but if we all make an effort, these places will be here for us to enjoy for a long time to come!

I can't answer that definitively...but I highly highly doubt it. You really can't be held liable for something that was filmed legally.

It’s a tough call. When you’re 20 miles in and 90% of the trail is in great shape. We made a tough call, ended our treks early in the day, and left early to keep our impact as light as possible…but it wasn’t as light as it could have been. We could have turned around and we didn’t.
