You say the purple and green one works best for the cloth why is that coloring and how does it do better? Also is there a certain type of cloth you buy like cotton or something like that that helps clean as?
That is a joke - colour doesn't matter, except of course when buying a car as everybody knows red is faster. Just use a soft cloth that won't scratch the paint or stainless steel.

I found that an easy way to remind how long I’m cooking is to use an app. A new one came out that works well for me called pellet grill minder.

what about putting the grate in the dishwasher
Yes you could do that if you can fit them in! Only thing you shouldn't do is clean with stainless steel metal brush as that can scratch the coating.
