Correction: As Carlos we get to see how capcom cut the part where nemesis stalks you in the police station by shoehorning in a bomb scene to explain the hole in the wall which was clearly originally meant to be made by nemesis
Is that 100% confirmed in the original and can’t be contested or are you just trying to find things in our trash the game about? The most disappointing part to me was just have fun Ari to remake was going to the police station and backtracking and needing to unlock all these doors and solve puzzles of how to get there. I really wish our a three remake had that. Of course I’d love the game to be longer but it’s got some really great parts in it and some really awesome cut scenes. I wish it felt more like the second game. I love seeing how some of the things got set up for the second game in this game. And I think there’s a lot to criticize of course but it seems like people just try to complain and criticize certain games when they already got a lot of hate, just to hop on the hate train. Not necessarily you, but so many criticisms about this and even the halo TV show even though I hate the direction they took it, but it’s because people don’t like it because of content or not following the story of the books for the halo show that people then complain about every little thing and it’s just like, OK, that’s not a valid criticism this isn’t a valid criticism, that’s unreasonable, etc lol
@@jessejive117 If I recall in the original RE3 Nemesis breaks though a window while you are coming down the stairs. Same window is gone in RE2 if I remember
True, but what creates the hole right above the locker room where you get the spade key from? The hole isn't there for Carlos, but it is during RE2. Surely it could only be either Nemesis or Mr.X. Would've been better if he showed up either way. The police station is annoying on repeat playthroughs because of this.
That huge Charlie is a clear callback to the boulder in the RE1 original. And many of the optional costumes appearing in the RE3 original were cut in this remake, including one similar to Regina's battlesuit in Dino Crisis.
i HATE the "you want STARS, i ll give you stars" in Remake Jill says it at the beginning, She barely hears Nemesis say it. In the original Jills says it at the end, after having to deal with this monster for the entire game discharging an entire clip on an agonizing Nemesis. It was a perfect one liner to close the story. But whatever, talking ill of this game is beating a dead horse
There is one detail you missed, and that’s in Resident Evil 2 remake Marvin tells Claire and Leon not to hesitate and in the Resident Evil 3 remake we see not only what Marvin meant but we also find out how he got the bite wound on his stomach
I'm not sure the car was a "callback to 7" so much as it was saving money on needing to make new assets. They reuse the same bolt cutter animation as well and that's not exactly a "call back" to RE2
Relax guys. @Zombiechris might be 14 years old and don’t even know what you’re talking about. The remake sucks. Just the graphics are a lot better and that’s all.
Excellent choice of musics… Final Fantasy 10 (when we discover the truth about the final summoning) Silent Hill 2 (when we discover the truth on Mary’s death) Two of my favorite games that I will remember my whole life.
Actually the camera is also a reference to another zombie survival game dead rising. Because the main character frank west uses a camera to stun the enemies
Ethan didn't escape with the car. He arrived in the car and can use another car during the first fight with Jack. But he "escapes" by being rescued via helicopter
The car you use in the Jack fight is Ethan's car tho. If you don't use the key but you pick it up. The description says "The key to your car. You must have dropped it when you were attacked in the attic"
actually, these small details and easter eggs, is what made it more infuriating, just like that room where you meet Dario, where supposed to be stairs to the save room is there but blocked off, pretty much the metaphor of the game, that most familiar place are there just be seen only from a distance

Already knew most of these from previous 'hidden details' videos, one of these is even repeated. But the re7 book with black goo reference was one I had missed.
Another small blink and you'll miss it is on Jill's TV during the dream sequence with a small image of the original Nemesis on screen for a brief second.
To be fair, in both is optional... but it's easier to miss in the remake though. After I heard it the first time I replayed it to see if I heard correctly, but I kept being hit by Nemesis, 'till the point I even thought I imagined it. What I can't believe is that they change it for a weak final punchline like "take the hint"... In my first playthrough I thought they would have changed it for something way more epic and... I was wrong... In my opinion it would have been much more better if they kept the original punchline after Nemesis death, with the "take the hint" when you are getting into the sewer, just after escaping Nemesis, or better yet, after the rooftop fight.
You mentioned this 3:00 but this is not as bad as what you will see in Inferno/nightmare mode There are 5 or 6 zombie and they're all the same models, but the problem is they're not hidden behind the fence, they're right in front of the donut shop 😂
