She is so underrated! If the world were fair, she would have more recognition. She has a soprano voice, her voice is so clean and she is a poliglot. She is above the excellent.

100% ! I totally agree. I feel like I, with so many others, have been robbed for so many years of the opportunity to even know Lara existed, let alone her exceptional voice and talent.
I would say that much differently. Underrated means observed and "scored" low. Lara Fabian has kept to such a high quality of performance and culturally mature content that a lot of the mainstream music community simply has not heard of her. If anything, she lacks the kind of exposure that would earn a different rating HOWEVER, that being said, Lara strikes me as person who cares more about the depth of her work and sharing it with people who can appreciate it for what it is. What it is being EVERYTHING beautiful and NOTHING mainstream garbage. Lara is a gift to anyone truly listening NOT only to her incredibly beautiful voice but also listening to the heart and soul where that voice comes from.
Half flemish and half italian and she speaks all these languages perfectly. She is a multi gifted human being.

I speak most of these languages, but wow, she really speaks them *really well. She fluent. I remember Lara in the 1997 when I was in Europe for a year, I didn't realise that she could do more than just sing like an angel. She is a fluent polyglot! She is amazing. I am so impressed. Nature has given her so much of everything, not only looks and voice, and obviously intelligence, but also she seems so humble and likeable. Dieci e lode! Bien fait! Cuanto eres genial! Uma observação apenas; minutos 4:30 na verdade,ela esteve em um programa brasileiro chamado: Programa do Raúl Gil,que é muito famoso,e de fato,ela esta falando em espanhol,porém no Brasil falamos o Português do Brasil( Fomos colônia de Portugal) e não espanhol,mas é bem parecido e entende-se perfeitamente se falado devagar.

Je me rappelle très bien avoir entendu la première fois Lara chanter "Nous". J'étais certains que c'était une nouvelle chanson de Céline Dion.
J'ai finalement entendu le nom de Lara Fabian à la fin de la chanson et je me suis précipité pour acheter son CD. à l'époque Internet et les téléchargements n'étaient pas connus encore.
J'ai alors découvert que son disque avait eu le soutien financier du gouvernement du Canada.
J'étais un peu confus.
On nous disait qu'elle était belge, elle chantait comme Céline Dion la canadienne (oui je sais cousins québécois, Céline se définit comme québécoise et non comme canadienne) et elle était subventionnée par le gouvernement du Canada.
Je l'ai suivi de plus ou moins près depuis ce temps. J'ai été parmi ceux qui trouvaient qu'elle en mettait un peu plus que ce que le client demandait (chose que Lara reconnait elle-même aujourd'hui quand elle analyse ses performances TV de l'époque).
Elle est revenue alors à une approche beaucoup plus "cordiale" et je l'admire donc encore aujourd'hui, comme une des plus grande voix de la francophonie (mais pas que de la francophonie).
Ses interviews ont toujours été très denses en contenu, elle ne s'est jamais contentée d'être juste "une chanteuse populaire". Elle a toujours eu des opinions très bien définies, forgées par son histoire personnelle, son enfance, sa famille, ses relations, son sens critique très poussé.
Pour tout ça, je ne peux que la remercier et la féliciter.
Chapeau bas et respect Lara ! J’étais déjà fan de longue date, mais le confort que tu as dans les langues, m’impressionne tout bonnement ! 😘👍🏻
How is her accent so on point no matter the language she speaks 😱 truly gifted. I can also speak 2 languages fluently but my accent doesn’t sound native like hers 👏🏻
Well for one she was raised with all of these languages. Having heard them since she was a child helps. Secondly she’s a musician. They’re usually great at picking up on accents 😉

I think she's also a natural mimic who doesn't forget 'sounds'. Her Dutch/Flemmish isn't fluent but her pronunciation is indistinguishable from a native Belgian from Antwerp. Very clear diction. Almost like a news presenter.

Some people compare Celine Dion to Lara Fabian. I have never, ever seen a performance from Celine that moves me like Lara does. Especially when Lara performed Malade.

A certain “fan” in the comment section seems to rather enjoy saying negative things regularly about Lara/criticizing her. My channel is not the right place for this kind of behaviour. Constructive criticism as well as respectful discussions are more than welcome but I simply cannot stand and will not tolerate comments whose only purpose is to judge her every move (or anybody else’s move, for that matter). Being a “fan” since her debut doesn’t make you more knowledgeable and certainly doesn’t mean you know her better than any of us do. In fact, none of us knows shit about her as we are not her friends, her family, or acquaintances.
Some people would say “if you agree with everything she says, it means you’re a naive and blinded fan”. Except, it doesn’t. Do not judge people on a regular basis when you don’t have a clue about their life. It is that simple and it is common knowledge. I cannot stand unfounded judgement. Just wanted to make that clear.

Once again a huge thankyou! You are crazy to find those vids of Lara. Nice! It's unbelievable how easy it's for her to speak all those languages. When facing a beautiful lady i speak none. I think the only language i speak is cat. We have four of those. But luckily i can listen and hear. At least Lara. Amazed by her skills and how natural she makes it sound. Just one thing regarding the 3 French accents. For France and Quebec she indeed speaks the mainstream accent. But for Belgium she was exaggerating consciously and for humour purposes the way Flemish (Dutch) speakers of Belgium speak French as a foreign language. French speakers in Belgium do not sound like that
Yes I’m aware. She is half Belgian so she has spoken many times with a regular Belgian accent. When I made the video, this exaggerated clip was the only one that came to mind which is why I included it 🙂
yep she's smart but then again has the best premisses being the daughter of an Italian mum and a Flaamse Vader growing up in Bruxelles which is dominantly french. So basically three family languages to start with. You can argue if Quebequois is a language or rather a dialect but nevetheless she adopted quebequois over the decades. This leaves her with spanish and maybe portuguese are the language she did not grew up with. So yes she multilingual but for a good reason.
It doesn’t make it any impressive considering she has extensive vocabulary in all 4 languages.
Besides, plenty of people grow up forgetting the language they were raised with. How many people raised in an Italian household for instance complain about not being able to speak it as adults ? Exactly.
She's is completely connected to the Universal mind! This why she is so "Omni Present"!
One of the takeaways from this video is: it is easier to learn a new language when you are not afraid to make a fool of yourself - that is, to speak it, even though you are not fluent at it. In general, people are way too concerned about sounding right and not making a mistake, but speaking the little you know of that foreign language (and, why not, even mixing them - example: Lara mixed a bit of Portuguese in her Spanish) makes you learn it much faster and better.

I can barely speak english correctly... Ithink people who speak several languages are just smarter than the rest of us...and I always ask people who can speak several languages what language do you normally "think" in? I always get different answers, but the most common is English because its the hardest...thats probably why i can't speak it that good...haha

There is still a bit of foreigness in her accent, like how she aspirates her T (a very common thing in Germanic languages) when she says enTiendo (4:33, 4:44, 4:46), and how she aspirates her Q in como Quiere (4:43). She also infuses a lot of Italian tendencies in her Spanish. For example, she trills her R in pRimera (5:19), something common in Italian but not in Spanish, though she tries to correct herself afterward. She also says con toda A miA sinceridad y con todo IL miO corazón (5:10), which should've been con toda mi sinceridad y con todo mi corazón, as unlike in Italian, in Spanish, possessive pronouns like the word "my" don't carry a gender, though the word "mine" does (mia and mio literally mean mine in Spanish, instead of my), and most importantly, they don't carry an indefinite article (Italian would be il mio/la mia vs. Spanish is just mi). She also says me sEnto como en casa, instead of me sIEnto como en casa (5:05). She also incorporates a bit of Portuguese as she is speaking to a Brazilian TV host, such as when she says eM BraSIL (4:54), intead of eN Brasil. Notice the difference between the S and L pronunciation in Spanish and Portuguese. The single S in Portuguese, like in Italian, when not at the start of a word or end of a syllable, makes a Z sound, and the final L is dragged with a diphthong I vowel.
Also, I wouldn't say she sounds 100% from Spain. She doesn't do the theta TH sound when she says conoCido (5:14), graCias (5:23), coraZón (5:12, 5:24, 5:59), and veZ (5:20, 5:34), and it couldn't be from Andalusia or the Canary Islands of Spain, as those C and Z would be more aspirated, and the N in corazóN would be more nasal, resembling more of a French N sound rather than the typical Spanish N sound. Overall, she is very fluent at the language. Definitely not native, but can definitely work and defend herself to survive and function in a Spanish-speaking society.
@@lissandrafreljord7913 well no obviously she’s not a native Spanish speaker. Her mother tongues are French and Italian. And when one speaks and understands so many languages, it’s pretty common to mix them up a little from time to time 🙂

She did american accent but not non of the british, so it should be just the USA flag. In the next segment she's talking to a brazilian presenter and they were talking both in Spanish (both) and Portuguese (him), so it should be the brazilian flag.
Her accent is not American lol. It’s clearly a weird mix of British and American because it’s not her first language. And again…no, she was talking in Spanish with the host which is why I put the Spain flag.
@@laratheringfabian Of course it wasn't a "perfect" american accent but it was kinda american; not british. The brazilian host was speaking both in Spanish and Portuguese (Brazilian Portuguese), I'm portuguese, so I know my language well, lol...

In ur first comment, u clearly told me I “should add the Brazilian flag”. So no I didn’t take anything the wrong way. You just didn’t properly explain what you meant. 😅
And secondly, “weird” is not an insult. I’m aware her English is great. She speaks it perfectly, which I never said she doesn’t. Her accent is unique, peculiar….Whatever adjective you wanna use, it doesn’t matter. My point is, for most people who speak lots of languages, their accent tends to be a mix of different accents. In her case, her English accent is not straight up American. I would know since I live in America. It’s not British either. It’s a unique mix of different accents with various American and British inflections mixed together. Nothing wrong with that. So putting both the US and the UK flag is not an issue. It actually doesn’t matter. It shouldn’t be anyone’s concern. This video is simply made to show that she has mastered several languages 🙂
