I think calling Jimmy not a championship #1 at this point is laughable ... nobody has done more with less in the league since Jimmy came to Miami. The lakers finals - Bam and Dragic got injured. Thank you, no one ever mentions Heat were the only team to beat Denver at home all playoffs. And that was without Tyler and Jimmy playing on a busted ankle. The same team the geniuses at espn said had a 3% chance at beating the Celtics.
He's the guy to lead a team to a championship. Compare his team to other teams. Celtics have JT, JB, KP, JH, and depth. Denver have Joker, JM, and their roster has range and size. They're a complete package. Bucks got GA, Dame, KM, Lopez. They got great defense and depth. Clipps got fcking Kawhi, PG, a good Center, WB and HARDEN (past their prime but still good) While the HEAT have Jimmy, Bam(undersized and inconsistent in offense), Terry, Tyler(not even playing), JJJ (lacks XP), duncan(but he never caught fire in playoffs), depth but undersized. They have good-great defense but the size difference kills them.
I think last year they have a chance last finals to win it all or atleast make it competitive against Denver. However, Boston won 3 in a row and forced a game 7 after being up 3 to nothing, they lost all their confidence and swag. That conference finals is really the turning point of their title run last year. Imo.
Their leading scorer is OBVIOUSLY Bam Adebayo. Has anybody seen this guy play recently? His ballhandling and shot creation have advanced beyond 'big man who can pass' into a full-fledged dominant all around player. He just doesn't get the touches.
Jimmy isn't a number 1 but has accomplished more that the so called number 1 options over the past 5 years. Most of the number 1 aren't making the playoffs or getting put out in the 1st or 2nd round or getting put out the playoffs by Jimmy and the heat. Every Superstar doesn't have to lead his team in scoring.
Jimmy is good bro, just needs better pieces LOL. I'm not saying if Miami had Tyler Herro in the finals they would have won but that extra scoring would I push that series to at least seven games.
those two years in the finals the heat got injured goran dragic and bam where injured then last year butler twisted his ankle and we were down tyler hero i think the heat are ok for the moment this year we are deeper and better than last year we have jjj and richardson and hopefully we will have tyler in the playoffs thats better than strus and vincent
I actually agree, Jimmy isn’t a 1A on a championship team unless they’re built like the Chip Detroit Pistons. Sheed, Chancy, Prince, etc. This team isn’t build like that. On the other hand - if they had another player around Jimmy’s level but, maybe more of a score first mentality the Heat would be up there with the best in the league. This league is really good and talent is spread out pretty well for the most part. I also think the Heat need to strike hard and fast when the next star becomes available. Seriously.
They could definitely build something like this..I think they need Caruso..maybe pascal..dunno how both would fit but that would be close to that pistons squad
JAMAL MURRAY 15??? I’m sorry I know he was an absolute beast in the playoffs but he isn’t at that level all the time. You put him over spida so you’re saying that he is worth Herro Jaquez and 5 picks???!!! Jalen Brunson is also so underrated to not be on here. He averages more in the regular season season and playoffs + he has more load because he is the number one option
Such a clown take 😂 jimmy been to finals twice with both times his teams hasn’t been healthy and he was playing on one ankle after hart tackled him Miami will be fine…..
You end up looking dumb when you overanalyze the Heat like you do other teams, they operate very differently. As a Heat fan, I’d rather hang onto someone like Jaime especially if you look at the dudes stats. He’s been a top 3 rookie and has looked incredibly comfortable scoring against any matchup with crazy efficiency. Adding a healthy Herro back in makes Miami a surefire contender.
If Butler isn't a championship n°1, then only those who already win are, that means only 5 current players (James, Curry, Leonard, Antetokounmpo and Jokic). If it's only about scoring, some n°1 weren't always the best scorer like Russell, Johnson or Duncan.
I agree. He tries to play hero but chokes. One example was when he shot a 3 with time running out in the Finals and choked. The other one is when he turned the ball over while driving in against the Nuggets, deciding to pass instead of shooting it.
Nobody was beating that nuggets team last year. That’s not jimmys fault. They need hero to be a consistent 2nd option. And bam to do anything on offense. Jimmy was too tired in the finals from having to do everything!
The Heat didn't get Dame because Cronin refused to negotiate with them, not because they wouldn't offer Tyler Herro. That's absurd. If Portland was willing tot alk to them, Miami would've given up the farm for Dame.
049: you could say the exact same thing about Jokic, he is also not "a scorer". Butler can be a Championship Nr. 1, you just need a better number 2 offensively. If Lillard were playing for this team now, no one would even think about it. It's not Butlers quality, it's the quality of his teammates
I think they should actually try and get Russ off the Clippers for the rest of this season. Dude is on a minimum, and he can still score if given the ball, and can still handle point guard duties. Spo will know how to use him. Plus since he's on a minimum they don't need too much to get him.
You speaking facts on jimmy I remember when jimmy played for bulls he was literally a defensive player who shoot every now and then or went to rim when the focus was on the other guy he was never a catch and shoot the whole game he thrived off Drose being the PG getting 25+ he of course became a star in d rose absence crazy how d rose rotting in Memphis like send that man to the heat lakers. suns, nuggets or warriors man about to retire averaging 2.0 in his final season
Sorry to tell you we fans and pat doesnt push the PANIC button as you doing right now we are DEEP DEEP DEEP FINE. and baby jBUTLER Jr is not tradeable. He is the FUTURE star of MIAMI. We can wait for donovan as a FREE AGENT in 2 years. Besides MITCHEL really want to play here in MIAMI.
Jimmy is a championship 1st option. Championship #1 doesn’t start & end in scoring. He needs a legit #2. Bam & Herro don’t fit that criteria & that’s not on them. There are players that are solid 2nd options that’d make Miami a far greater threat. JB, Bridges, Lavine or Demar, KAT, BI, PG. there’s plenty guys that would make a great #2 to Jimmy.
Worst rant you have ever made man, jimmy just needs a little help not to trade jimmy or get a superstar. Jimmy is the man, he said that he isnt a scorer in the regular season man, the heat are fine they just need to be able to step up a little more and get lucky with at least 1 decent point guard
Heat need to make as many strong guard moves as they can. I'd throw some 💸 at Tyrese Maxey, Immanuel Quickly, Jrue Holiday, Reggie Jackson, Gary Payton II(Backup), Tyus Jones, Spencer Dinwiddie(combo guard), Colby White. Then go after SG's like crazy and solid backup Wing, PF and a stretch big. So pretty much a new roster. Lol
Relax dude... For several seasons miami is always up and down during regular season. The difference now, people are expecting something from them. They always try to figure things out during Reg. Season and improve it during playoffs. 1 or 2 trades before playoffs a scorer or a big thats it. If it doesnt work out... Time to move on from either bam or Tyler Hero
I’ll be honest with you, the aggregate of Jacquez and Herro is much better than whatever Mitchell could bring the Heat. Siakam actually seems better fit. Miami got killed for being small against Denver, a front of Jimmy, Siakam and Bam is actually dangerous both defensively and offensively. Tyler Herro, Jaquez, Robinson, Martin would be able to play incredible screen and roll, DHO and other variations. Siakam and Bam both can play out of the post, and playmake at an elite level for bigs. Plus Siakam fits the Heats culture, he doesn’t need isolations to score.
It's probably easier to trade Jimmy than mortgage your future for a player like Donovan Mitchell. You have teams who are betting against being 2nd apron teams. Only 1 team can win a championship this year, but you're going to see a ton of 2nd apron teams. Currently 9 teams.
I think Siakam is more fit than Donovon in Miami. Aside from his defensive prowess, he is a great scorer too. Plus, Jaquez is untouchable at this point. He is our future.
I what Heat need right now is a reliable and consistent PF on every game nights. They really weak on PF position, either out of position or hit or miss performances, the Heat need someone like Siakam or Jeremi Grant, who 2 ways player on both ends of the floor..
Jimmy failed to become a respectable outside shooter add that in with perhaps a bit of lingering injury woes & that's why I think the Heat struggled against the Nuggets. Going to be more difficult for your two highest usage players to score efficiently when neither are a genuine threat to hit 3pters. Instead just clog up the paint. We all know Spoelstra is a good coach. But, he's not perfect. Maybe the biggest mistake he made on offense in that series was making a drastic reduction to the number of Butler-Adebayo pick and rolls. He's 40% from 3pt so far this year. So, maybe he finally got the message & worked on the shot this offseason. He also made improvement last year, over prior years.
I wouldn't go for Mitchell. I'd go with Ja Morant. His stock is down with his off-court issues, could benefit from the Miami culture (if he's up to going for it).
Jimmy's 2 comps are Andre Iguodala and Kawhi Leonard, but AM's right, he's not a #1. He's more Iggy than he is Kawhi...but if this is about Jimmy's career and not the Heat, my best guess is that he and Dame need to take 2 more shots on their own and then end up together in Philly w/ a roster construction like Dirk (end of prime Embiid), Kidd (old Dame), Marion (old Butler) and Jason Terry's (prime Maxey) Mavs.

Jimmy is fine, a superstar that is a jack of all trades thats rare these days.
💯
He's the guy to lead a team to a championship. Compare his team to other teams.
Celtics have JT, JB, KP, JH, and depth.
Denver have Joker, JM, and their roster has range and size. They're a complete package.
Bucks got GA, Dame, KM, Lopez. They got great defense and depth.
Clipps got fcking Kawhi, PG, a good Center, WB and HARDEN (past their prime but still good)
While the HEAT have Jimmy, Bam(undersized and inconsistent in offense), Terry, Tyler(not even playing), JJJ (lacks XP), duncan(but he never caught fire in playoffs), depth but undersized.
Imo.
It's not even about confidence. Those 3 games is wasted Energy. They were already injury riddled. Should've closed it out in 4 or 5 not 7😭
Their leading scorer is OBVIOUSLY Bam Adebayo.
Am hoop’s thank you for making another awesome video you are my favorite basketball UA-camr
Heat are fine, they can do trades to make their team better, don’t need an all star. Either way they are playoff ready. Keep JJj
As a life time Heat fan, HARD PASS
Putting Haliburton at 23 is a crime
Dude got Jamal Murray at 15 this is crazy 😂
that list almost made me cut the video off
He’s right, that’s why they need a more all around team and for their scorer to not be injured all the time
BEAL AND JRUE arent number ones either! What are we talking about?... It can be argued Lillard isnt either
Watch out Clippers situations. Don't rule out if Kawhi and Paul George will be available at the trade deadline
Same! Agree a lot! Like what pat riley said I like our teams chances. This teams core is enough to compete for the championship
Bam is getting better, Zach is not worth the hassle.
What a nice thing to shout out a fellow BallTuber! HeatCheck deserves the recognition.🤜🏻🤛🏻
Jimmy Butler get his 1st championship in Heat uniform slowly close couple years 😅😂😅😂😅😂😅
You end up looking dumb when you overanalyze the Heat like you do other teams, they operate very differently.
They should go get Caruso or a Seth Curry to help in the back court
I'm glad this guy isn't the GM
Jimmy is better than you think he just needs a good supporting cast
I agree. He tries to play hero but chokes. One example was when he shot a 3 with time running out in the Finals and choked. The other one is when he turned the ball over while driving in against the Nuggets, deciding to pass instead of shooting it.
Bro has 0 Basketball IQ
Nobody was beating that nuggets team last year. That’s not jimmys fault. They need hero to be a consistent 2nd option. And bam to do anything on offense. Jimmy was too tired in the finals from having to do everything!
Jimmy is fine. Mitchell's defense is horrible. Fox is much better than Mitchell. This is terrible trade if Heat fall for it.
Jimmy is a championship number 1. Yes the heat need more offensive star power but still: the dude is insanely good at basketball
He needs a ball handler with scoring ability
Call me crazy... but a cheap Russell Westbrook?
Nice name check for Heat Check. You guys are my two favorites!
The Heat didn't get Dame because Cronin refused to negotiate with them, not because they wouldn't offer Tyler Herro. That's absurd. If Portland was willing tot alk to them, Miami would've given up the farm for Dame.
"Mommy" 💀 3:44
This mf is just smacking his lips together speaking some hoopla
No way Heat will want to give up Jacquez
Yo bro I love yo videos man, be absorbin that knowledge n that!
Jrue Holiday would have been the perfect fit. Don't know how they miss this trade....
049: you could say the exact same thing about Jokic, he is also not "a scorer". Butler can be a Championship Nr. 1, you just need a better number 2 offensively. If Lillard were playing for this team now, no one would even think about it. It's not Butlers quality, it's the quality of his teammates
Couldn't agree more about #16 & #25 being the best obtainable players
Alternative title: Pat Riley's career is over
Butler needs to go back to Philly and finish the Process with Joel and Maxey
Stop
Pathetic how this comment has over 10 likes yea Philly wishes
I think they should actually try and get Russ off the Clippers for the rest of this season. Dude is on a minimum, and he can still score if given the ball, and can still handle point guard duties. Spo will know how to use him. Plus since he's on a minimum they don't need too much to get him.
Nah Russ will make everything worse
"Mommy!"😅 3:44
A.M Hoops ur one of my fav UA-camrs but that top 25 list is an eyesore
This is pretty unfair.
1 hour gang! Great video :)
does somebody know the name of the background music between 5:13 to 5:43?
Jimmy is a championship 1st option. Championship #1 doesn’t start & end in scoring. He needs a legit #2. Bam & Herro don’t fit that criteria & that’s not on them. There are players that are solid 2nd options that’d make Miami a far greater threat. JB, Bridges, Lavine or Demar, KAT, BI, PG. there’s plenty guys that would make a great #2 to Jimmy.
Jrue holiday is not a number 1 over Jimmy Butler 😭
“Like his father, Michael Jordan”-and then just keeps going with the piece. Classic🤣
Lol
3:45 "mommy" 💀💀
💀
don’t mention the fact that jimmy was playing on one ankle after josh hard slide tackled him 🤷♀️
Not an excuse
Relax dude... For several seasons miami is always up and down during regular season. The difference now, people are expecting something from them. They always try to figure things out during Reg. Season and improve it during playoffs. 1 or 2 trades before playoffs a scorer or a big thats it.
If it doesnt work out... Time to move on from either bam or Tyler Hero
You mean Herro. Bam is untouchable.
The rabbit hole of Mj being his dad is real interesting 💯
as a jimmy butler fan i am woried
Sixers should’ve kept him. Sixers should do something to get him back with Embiid.
Butler & Mitchell could work nice analysis dude.
I what Heat need right now is a reliable and consistent PF on every game nights.
They really weak on PF position, either out of position or hit or miss performances, the Heat need someone like Siakam or Jeremi Grant, who 2 ways player on both ends of the floor..
Let's not forget. The Knicks and Heat were favorites for Donovan Mitchell as well
Jimmy failed to become a respectable outside shooter add that in with perhaps a bit of lingering injury woes & that's why I think the Heat struggled against the Nuggets.
