Whilst there are obvious connections to the great Annie Proulx novel throughout this album, Polaroid is a sophisticated yet elementary tale that deserves it's own praise for it's unique yet entirely recognisable portrayal of abandonment in the face of compassion.
If you've never sat by yourself on a barstool with your thoughts and the morning sun creeping in the front door.......then you haven't had the RF smile. Truly one of the best to take you somewhere you have been and let you feel a little more.....thanks
Exactly, Jeff. I wish I could get a chance to see this band live. Or maybe one of Willy's other projects. No luck yet. The best stuff from this band is matchless...
He's back :) Yeah... Motel Life is an excellent read. Like a Vlautin/RF tune/album fleshed out; and the reader supplies his/her own imagined score in real time. The score I imagined while reading, of course, sounded like RF... LMFAO. And then again, the reader doesn't have to imagine any score at all. Just sayin'...
I've had the good fortune to have met W.V. and S.H. B. They are my favorite artists. I appreciate greatly what they have accomplished. I have my hopes for what they will yet create. Willy's next book will be coming out soon and it will be great. It will be about Walter (from Post to Wire.) Good luck always..........
Brilliant...just brilliant story telling...
Willy is an awesome writer
Such a way with words
This band. Enabling Willie’s songs to become something so special. Miss them.
Me too, brother :)

Agreed. Love Willy and the band, and this is my single favorite of all of their great tunes. Thanks for posting it John,
