What i like about these books and not MOVIES Is THAT MY imagination is so much better than the movies. I listen and picture everything in my head. Thanks so much for the easy visioning. 😊

Louis L'Amour took helicopter rides to be able to describe the West. Maybe the author needs to do the same and re-edit?

During this one I wondered what happened to the entire US pacific fleet, and all the submarine fleets. How does a major fleet of Russian Navy vessels just sail to the Alaskan coast and sit around for days before bombarding and sending missiles at Alaskan cities for weeks with not one sea and air battle with the U.S. navy.
Are you aware that the U.S. navy has the second most powerful Air Force in the entire world?
Yes the U.S. Air Force is the only Air Force that is bigger.
That Russian fleet should not even have been able to drop off a single troop to shore before being sunk within the first hour.
    Major plot armor is unbeatable

EMP would have disabled all the electronic boys toys. Non of armed personnel would have the manual skills required for warfare. The biggest brightest most expensive is after all merely junk when without electricity.

America might have the 3rd best navy at this point and maybe a 2nd best air force. Not to mention that we don't have enough enlisted men to keep up with our top perceived enemies.

    • @johnjanuary2958

@ nope: the USA has the most powerful navy in the world. Having the Most ships (China) means nothing if 3/4 of them are only tiny coastal gunboats (China).
The U.S. Air Force is the most powerful air power and the US Navy has the second most powerful air power.

Only Texas and Alaska survived the EMPs? Ok: please tell us How Hawaii was destroyed or affected at all by the EMPs?

In reality, Texas is on a different grid than most of the States. As for Alaska, I suspect the same and they were not in proximity to the EMPs which would have also taken out Canada had they been. I understand it only takes destroying 22 electric hubs in the United States to take down the grid. Strategically placed, EMPs would remove those 22 and take out the United States power so they wouldn't necessarily have to blanket the United States with EMPs to kill the grid. I think the problem also exists for solar flares.

Hawaii gets most of its power from imported fossil fuels. No dead dinosaurs coming out of the ground on the mainland, no more power for Hawaii

In book one, Chase showed Don the radio station that a prepper was running to give news and advice for listeners. Who was that? What happened to him? It's not Dylan, as I first thought. Dylan is said to be a new member of the tv syation, as of a few months earlier, and too young. Did the author swap out a character? No biggie, I'm just curious and wondering if I missed something.
