I just love seeing how neat and clean California used to be. Brings back memories of growing up in Port Hueneme. And say what you want, that was the best time for Hot Rods!
That red T-Bucket with the quad carbs is purrfect! And that Phaeton is a stunning work of art (gotta be a four inch drop up front)! That is one serious customized Merc! Go Speed and Kulture, keep sharing and keep moving forward!
So great not seeing, rusted junky ratrods, primered junk, no wanna be pinups no overly done tattoos, it's really nice to see Rodders just being friendly to each other, I hung out with my dad in mid 60s to mid 70s in Long Beach mostly, when Rodding was in it's golden era...
As others have said once is not enough. To take in everything. That looks to me an affluent area at the end? Are they the Hollywood Hills in the distance? Another fantastic film. 👌👍👍.
I’ll be posting a video soon of some slides on the Vette, after seeing this video it reminded me Andy had slides of it. I’m trying to get out his movies first then work on the slides / digitizing

Air is cleaner now, and less trash on the roads now

More top notch editing! Absolute perfect music, like always. Yes, everything seems so clean. Does that Kustom still exist??? Wow!!

Another AWESOME video. I usually have to watch these twice.
Once to look at the cars and once to look at the scenery around the cars😮😮😮

Never seen that Merc before!
Rod Powell , also can be seen in Andy southard 60’s book
Dang. That was cool. '64, the year I was born.
Same here, but more importantly, the year Muscle Car was born.

The Bay Area Roadsters continue to have club runs that cover hundreds to thousands of miles. Their last 2024 run was to Speedway Motors in Nebraska!

Every time that lady at the end was in the video she had a cigarette in her hand 😝
