Guru! I don’t know what you’ve tried, if any… for someone just getting into bourbon Angel’s Envy is a great place to start. Proof is in the 80’s and it’s finished in port wine barrel’s. Can get it under $50 at Costco. Maker’s Mark 46 is pretty easy and sweet, (being a Wheated bourbon helping it stay a little softer) and available most places as well. Although not a bourbon (because it’s made in Canada} Pendleton “Midnight” is one of my favorite go to’s right now, 90 proof and finished in Brandy barrel’s. Normally found in the mid $30 range. Old Elk Wheated Whiskey is another one that’s not a bourbon, that is one of my go to’s. Last one for now is Evan William’s Vintage Single Barrel 86 proof, should be under $45. Easy sipper FASHO!
