I’m 56 and I buy most of rods and reels at garage sales and flea markets most reels today have plastic park and break. Mitchell 300 is the best fun video to watch take care
Nice! We always are looking for some killer deals at garage sales
Nothing better than fishing for brim on micro rods 💪💪
People forget how fun catching bream can be. Jay adds to the excitement with her exciting personality. A good quality line will solve a lot of casting problems in cheaper rod combo’s 🐟
Perfect size rod for C Bear!! Can't wait until he is old enough to fish with y'all!!
Fun fun Catching Left and Right. Way to go Cole & Jay 👊🏾👊🏾
Love the swamp fishin'. Fun little rods and green wormies.
I'm a old man now in my late 60's but who can forget the Zebco 202 that we all started out with.. As always I so enjoyed the video's that y'all share and the joy that you and Jay have fishing together...
I love when y’all fish the swamp
Finally!! You guys got ultralight tackle! You normally bream fish with the same size tackle I catch speckled trout and redfish on!!
My dad was born in 1933 on a 360+ acre farm with a pond & a river. They had a johnboat & paddles. I remember cane fishing poles. The only rod & reel I ever remember my dad having was a very short rod with something like a zebco 33 reel. I believe this was because the short rod made it much easier to use while fishing the river, especially from the johnboat. The river wasn’t very wide & had lots of overhanging branches. The short rod meant less chance of “squirrel fishing”. 😂
That's COOL. Sometimes simple is better and brings back memories, of the old "Pocket Fisherman." My Bride and I have a couple, really short rigs and a few telescopic rigs that we keep with us when e travel. You never know when you'll drive by a little piece of water and feel the urge to wet a hook. Great video and thanks for sharing.
My grandson first fish was a catfish that weighted 7 3/4 pounds and caught on a Scooby Doo rod and reel I didn't think it was possible but we ate it that night. Another good show
That’s amazing!
Always fun fishing for bluegill/bream. That's my preference!
Thanks for the video Cole & Jay
I am glad I found you guys when you visited the Arms family. My Dad had a farm on the back side of Lake Conway. Brings back old memories. Really enjoy the videos
Good Vid!!! Meme took our grandson fishing today and caught his first fish on the pole like Cole's!!!
Hello JJ , I WILL BE 77 ON 8/31 ,MY GRANDDAUGHTERS PINK LITTLE ROD AND REEL IS STILL HERE ,SHE ALL GROWN UP AND MARRIED, BUT I STILL SIT IN MY YARD AND PRATICE CASTING AND REMEMBERING THE MEMORIES...🤠👍
Happy early birthday!!! We have one of those pink Barbie rods too! Have a great weekend!
Nice video, nice mess of fish!
God bless ALL of us!

Jay is going ALL-MICRO whenever Cole mentions anything about pan fishing 😁 She's having a blast with the $10 combo. Shakespeare has a great selection on micro rod/reel combos. Wax worms will definitely get them fired up.
Gotta run over to the pet store and grab some waxies soon!!!
I most definitely would add the micro mini poles to your arsenal. Dude bro, I use both as well and the catching a fifteen pound catfish was so exciting. Make a clip of Jays catch reactions cause their exciting🥳😁😁🎣
That spinner that Jay is using looks like a lot of fun. It really bends down good on those.
THAT'S THE KIND OF FISHING GEAR I STARTED WITH AS A KID, AND I JUST LOVED THE SCREAM OF THE DRAG WHEN YOU CATCH NICE SIZE FISH. IT WAS AN OLD ZEBCO 202 THAT HAD A PUSH BUTTON REEL MOLDED INTO THE ROD, AND I CAUGHT A TON OF FISH ON THAT SET-UP!!!!!
Love watching your channel. Keep them coming.
Great video. Cheap rods are very fun to fish with. I like open face better myself because of the issue you said Cole. It has happened to me before that way. Kink up the line and later break on bigger fish. But yes try them on crappie. Cats would be wild. Or just on anything that bites. Lol God bless you both and baby C also.....🙏❤🙏❤🙏😊🙂😀
So much fun ,we caught them all our Little Life but, didn't know they were edible 😭.
You Guys are great 🙌.
JO JO IN VT 😆💕
my most productive way to catch pan fish is either deadline or use a small weighted bobber, for distance casting, and let the bait fall slowly. they seem to go for it a lot more for me. goo job guys.
Great fun with the micro rods. Take care
Y’all just plain make fishing fun! Love y’all!
love our videos looks like both of you have so much fun
Love you both, many years ago I cot bass in the deep poles of a lake, the water was clear that you just put the bate rite in front and they would bite the best thing since bread. 2 and 3 lb bass with no problem. Love your vids keep on going my friends. Old Master Gunnery SGT USMC.
Looks like fun
the 36" dock demon with the spinning reel and the little ugly stick is phenomenal
I love the variety of your content.
So happy to hear that! We try hard to keep things fresh!
Cool video with your micro reels. I love it when you come on with new videos. Jay looks nice and her pretty long hair is beautiful. You guys rock it !!
Thanks so much!
Even the small ones are good and sweet when you fry them up . Love watching y'all having fun and fishing
Awesome fishing, just shows you you don't have to spend a lot of money to get out and have a blast fishing. And good eating as well.
I’ve used Wal Mart Mickey Mouse rods with much success for all species(except saltwater). A friend’s daughter used her Barbie rod to land many peacock bass in Panama, some were giants.
Nice!!! That’s awesome!
Absolutely love your panfish/ crappie videos.
So glad to hear that! Thanks for watching!!!
Nice job guys, always enjoy your videos. Keep them coming, your friend in Christ, Wallace.
I always have an ultra light fishing rod in my arsenal.I enjoy catching panfish in between fishing for big ones.
10 bucks and look at all the fun ya'll had. "Good da fishing, ya-da, ya-da, ya-da." yeah I know, but it worked! Love the videos and the enthusiasm. 👍 Love Ya'll! 🎣👍❤️🥳😻🎣
I used to fish a lot with ultra-light tackle. I used tiny hard body crank baits. I caught some perch and crappie but in the early spring these tiny baits really slew bass! It's fun to catch 2 or 3 pound bass on ultra-light gear. You may get hooked on small gear!
Just a lot of fun no matter how or what you're after. Love you two.
God bless all here
yall remind me of me and my wife 1986 . we still fishing 36 years later ,
Can hardly wait till Cyprus cast and catches his first fish on his own going to be epic
Those micro rods are awesome when pan fishing
They worked great in all these trees!
@@COLE_and_JAY my favorite place was right around docks
Finally, the micro rod video that I've been wanting to see.
🙌🙌🙌
Good morning my friends from Syracuse NY thank you for sharing your adventures
I had to buy a new rod and reel combo yesterday - should have just picked up on of these! I just wanted a small set up to catch panfish from the shore. I didn’t pay much, so not unhappy with my decision. Looked at the green worms but remembered what a mess they can be! 🎣 The short closed reel rod is perfect for Baby C to start practicing his cast with.
Another awesome video
Good job bud..............she shows that hudge ring so no other angler has any ideas. The Mermaid has been caught and spoken for. Loving the show now.
This was so much fun to watch. The rod's are perfect kid size, perfect for CY.
Yes! We got them for him to practice with!!
I love it. Such wonderful parents. Have fun always.
That looked like a lot of fun. Thanks for making our days.
Thanks for making ours by watching our videos!
Anything that lets me fish longer is a good thing. I think I will be on the lookout for one of the spin-caster rod combos. My health issues often limit the amount of casting I can do in a day.
There is a Japanese fellow on UA-cam who does videos of him floating about in economical plastic boats, fishing for pretty large fish with a Rod like Jay's. More of a kids rod. He catches some pretty large fish in estuaries.
This looked like a lot of fun!!
Yet another awesome vid. It looked like conditions were kind of tough. at the 9.00 mark the wind was really ripping. you guys are great with the pan fish. looking forward to crappie season. Gotta love it. from your # 1 fans. Tina& David
Heyyy yall just found yalls channel a couple of weeks ago while laying up in the hospital. I love fishing but havent been able to in a few years because of my disability.. so watching yall had made my time soooo enjoyable.
Love watching yall fish with the microwave rods. I have used them and they are so much fun. Try crappie fiahingfishing with a jig. Its badass... well thanks yall 😁😁😁
Love the video. Ya'll have these little twists that make the videos that much better. I have an ultra light from bass pro shop. I love it for bream and crappie. They do dye the worms to make them green. I have used them before. Sometimes they are money other times they work but not as good. Love and Respect ya'll.
Loving the bluegill and bream videos I bought a micro rod from Walmart now to fill my tackle box with gear and head out to the lake thanks for all you guys do you've got me going back to a sport I enjoy
Ya'll always make me smile. I appreciate that. Back in the day they had a little telescoping rod that would fit in your glove box. I used that thing for years. Never know when you're going to come up on a creek or pond. Much love Ya'll. 💘
Awesome little micro fishing sesh!!! JJ I want to see a bluegill slabby Patty catch clean cook 🙏!!!
Will do soon!
I love the beauty of the outdoors where you live. It’s something to envy for sure. God sure painted this area with a graceful stroke. I would love to fish a place like this. Not so much for the fish but for the experience of doing so. Thank you so much for sharing.
Perfect for Cy to play with in yard. Kids love to just cast and retrieve.
Please make it a full day competition between you and J ... the biggest Largemouth Bass.
That was so much fun. This reminded me of a pole my dad had in the 70s. I think it was called The pocket fisherman., not sure. He'd keep it in his truck all the time and pull it out when we were on our way some where. He caught a lot of fish on that small pole. Pretty nice to have in your car at all times , it didn't take up much room and got the job done. You don't need expensive equipment to catch a fish. Enjoyed this as always.
We need to put them in the car and keep them with us!
Yes my dad carried one in his trunk
I still have mine from the Day! I used to have a sweet little fisher Wife as Cute as JayJay, as well! Jay is so sweet!
Cole,
Keep about ten of those small ‘Gills and fillet them. Get a pot of water with a little Salt boiling. Drop the fillets, about ten, in and boil them for three minutes.
If you boil them longer they start coming apart. Scoop them out and let them cool. Put them in the fridge and cool them down. Dip them in Cocktail Sauce and eat them like Shrimp.
Old Man Fred
Amazing fishing! Fishing is my hobby. Thanks for sharing! Best wishes for your channel
Hello Jay and Cole, I use the mico poles all the time at small ponds and at Lake Ouachita. They are easy to pack then larger poles when going camping. I am from Bedford Texas and loved our family camping trips to Arkansas, but have not been up there in years. Have a blessed day and take care.
Bought a 3 1/2’ Ugly stick combo for my grandson. Love it for flipping under a dock
Keep making your videos enjoy them
Micro is a blast watch Jacobi and Houston on arms always fun!!!!!!
I would love to see you catch some big White river trout with those dinky rod and reels 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hi Cole and Jay. Great video and beautiful fish. So glad yall were having fun. God bless and love yall
I’ve had a blast using them when fishing for Crappie under docks.
That’s a great way to catch those slabs under the docks!!!
@@COLE_and_JAY Yes, It’s worked good for me. I never could get the hang of skipping docks.
Morning just got alot better.
Whaddup bro! Hope you have a great weekend!
@@COLE_and_JAY y'all too. Here's to many more lips being ripped
Cole vs Jay cane pole addition 😁take ya back to y’all’s child hood cane pole addition please 😁
Looked like a Funtime was had by all…….miss seeing lil’ Cy!!
We snagged a yellow kiddie combo at the dump the other day to use ice fishing. Perfect size. The ice fishing setups can be expensive. Nothing like having some cheap fun.
Dang I'm trying to do a $10 rod n reel challenge but the cheapest I could find at all three sports stores was $25. Still determined to find the $10 rod n reel combo for the video. Great stuff guys.
perch and blue gill and crappie are so much fun to catch on tiny rods
Most of my fishing poles are from Walmart and I have had them for like 3 years and I cought a 6 pound cat fish with it
Yes indeed my Walmart poles are wonderful in my opinion.
Nice!!!!!
have a cheap ugly stick rod from Walmart it's 25 years old I have a zebco 33 on it that is just as old as the rod and have cought tons of fish on the setup it's basically just my bluegill rod but it has worked for small channel cat's
@@joshslackslack8115 I have a 5’ Ugly Stik that I have had forever. It’s currently sporting a Zebco 33 micro and it’s a really fun setup. I also picked up a $35 Zebco 33 combo and it’s fun too. I have other setups but these are what I have been using recently. Fishing doesn’t have to be really expensive. I put my money into my kayak this year.
Same that's where I get all my equipment from
When I was in college, I had an berated up spinning rod and an old Mitchell 300 reel. I was fishing during spring break for white bass behind a power plant on Lake Erie. I hooked the biggest fish I’ve ever caught- to this day. After a ten minute fight, stripping 30 yards of line off, I landed a 30 upend carp. Not bad for some old almost worn out gear.
That’s awesome!! We’ve been wanting to catch some big carp! Always a good time on sketchy gear lol
Good that you had fun & got fish.🎣
Looking like toooooo much fun, we use those rods for ice fishing. Man I gotta get out more.
We don’t get ice here so this is the best use we have for the micro rods so far! Would be good to take vertical jigging too!
@@COLE_and_JAY oh it's easy, just fill the water trough then throw a big bag of ice cubes in and see how many you can catch. You guys are so great.
Oh this is making me hungry already after the last trip.
I always use 4 ft micro bream busters when I fish for bream. So much fun, and easy to handle, and casting is easier with slip corks. Great video
Go big! Stripers!
Great video and thank you for sharing. God bless and be safe.
Next time y'all go limb lining, and pool noodle/jug fishing, need to drag them little puppies along. I used to just cut a limber pole and tie a string to it. That was my backup cat fishing rig. Course it worked for every kinda fish.
Beautiful place and nice video
Nice! You 2 are the best!
I would love to be fishing Right Now! You two enjoy it every day. How cool is that?
YOU GUYS SHOULD DO A CRAPPIE FISHING VID USING THOSE MICRO RODS💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥
Good video.enjoy watching.
Enjoy the video 👍. I would love to see the Cork go down.
thats good eatin right there right outta that swamp
That was fun to watch I too use a Micro Rod it`s more of a name brand and has 2 lb. test that`s a challenge to catch Bass with. Enjoyed it
You guys are great!
Great fishing
