Om namah Shivāyā, bolo, Om namah Shivāyā.
O Lord Shiva Shankar, Master of Kailash, playing the beats on the damaru.
You are the Lord Himself who awakens people who are sleeping for ages.
All praises be unto Him, say all praises be unto Lord Shiva.
1. Māthe ūpar tilak Chandra Mā’, pɛhare nāga kī mālā. (2)
Damaru kī dhaṛ-kana pe nāche, shristi kā rakhawālā. (2)
Nija bhaktan ke, kasta mitāye’, Shiv Shankar Kailāsh pati. (Ref)
On His forehead, there is the mark of the tilak and the moon;
he wears a garland of snakes & is the protector of all creation.
Lord Shiva dances to the rhythm of the damru
and destroys the sufferings of His dear devotees.
2. Jatā jūtha sī jhartī Gangā, bhava kī tāpa mitātī. (2)
Dharatī aur pyāse bhī vo hī, miyan pyāsa bhujātī. (2)
Nija kripā jag, se barsāye, Shiv Shankar Kailāsh pati. (Ref)
The Ganga flows from His matted hair and removes the difficulties
of this world. He quenches the thirst of the earth that satisfies the
creatures. He showers His grace upon the (entire) world.
3. Mangal kārī nām hai unkā, vo hai shakti dātā. (2)
Bhava sāgar se tar tā hai, jo Shiva nām hai gātā. (2)
Moh māyā se, man ko chhuṛāye, Shiv Shankar Kailāsh pati. (Ref)
His name is most auspicious & gives powers & vibrations to those who
chant His name incessantly. The name of Lord Shiva pervades all the
oceans of the world and protects our minds from attachment & illusion.
4. Dam dam (2), damarū bajāye; Shiva Shankar Kailāsh pati.
Yuga yuga soyā dīpa jalāye, Shiv Shankar Kailāsh pati.
Om namah Shivāyā, Om namah Shivāyā. (ĀĪŪṛāīūḥɛ)
