This is too rad, great video. Your hard work shows
not even into cars or drifting at all, but this video was extremely well researched, organized, and edited, and it's clear you're passionate about the topic. keep it up!
This was absolutely amazing to watch. Good stuff!
Amazing!! Thank you for all the hard work it took to put this together 🙏🖤
you made me feel like i'm back on the good old internet.... keep it up!
holy shit. like, HOLY SHIT. I've been obsessed with sekia hills as long as i can remember (i have very unrealistic dreams of reopening this track someday), and i just want to say, you absolutely nailed the research. Sekia style is something that could only happen in that era, and i'll always be fond of it. Not to mention, I absolutely love the concept of coming to a circuit for the first time, buying a (then cheap) s13 with bolt on parts, and skidding it around a track, all in a single day. Something i'd like to note is that theres still a used car shop thats running on the site to this day, and they still kept up the main paddock building's dec decals just as a tribute to what it was before. anyway, great video!

it could happen, count me in👍

The video feels like a early 2000s video. You did one hell of a job capturing the feel and look of the era. The music is AMAZING. You just get it. Everything was done amazingly. Chefs kiss.
What an amazing piece of Journalism? Art? I loved this and to me it feels even more important to do because Sekia is closed.
Unbelievable video. Thanks for making this. Sekia has been my favourite track since 2011. RIP
vx3k is in the know, hes in the culture.
i really wish there was a modern-day equivalent to D1 Street Legal, it would be so cool to see drifting return to a more grassroots style, while still retaining the professional vibe of a competition, just one the average person could afford to compete in.
It was insane growing up, watching drifting go from something anyone could get involved in, even Ueo just brought his car, didn't adjust anything, and just drove. Into where now even just the base car costs more than 3 times more than what you could get 3 base cars for, and then you need to add race suspension, 1200hp powerplant with sequential transmission + drysump and a full works team to even have a ballpark competitive car.
@@ToreDL87 It wasn't really as simple as "anyone could get involved in", Ueo still had the backing of a workshop and sponsors, as did most competitors that consistently were in the points. Touring around Japan and having enough spare parts to survive a season is in no way an expense sustainable by the average dude.
I like the background with the newspapers when you're talking its really cool and unique
Incredible video, wish I could find homegrown motorsport culture like this.
Really good video, didn't feel long at all, really well edited/researched and put together. Hope this vid gets juiced it deserves it :)
men finish ur game already hahah
Can’t wait to play your game!
You need to add all those kits and parts to the game brother
in a world of short form content this video is so refreshing! Thank you for making such an awesome video please dont stop making stuff like this!
Man thank you so much for putting this together!
Thank you for introducing me to so many things.
I feel so nostalgic.
Sekia is gone, but
I will do my best to continue drifting at Autopolis ☆
the music choice in this was top tier and all the info was extremely well presented. good stuff man
easily one of the best videos to date. well done man. RIP sekia hills x
Holy fuck dude this was so good. The amount of research you were able to dig up and bring to light is astounding. This could be done for so many old teams, shops, and tracks. I think you got something here.
Kinda sad to see some of the memories of bonding together just being a totally different thing. Dealership used to sell equivalent to $5000 Drift car just turn into something normal, Places used to be crowded and looking back memories of friends growing out their hobbies that they used to enjoy feels sad.
this is one of my favourite videos on the internet. from the music to the editing to the bittersweet topic of an amazing track that could only have happened in a very particular time in japan, looking back at these videos is like taking a time machine back into something far bigger than just a drifting track's heyday. thank you so much for this!
pleaase realese more videos like this one, yall really made a great work!
I really like how you switch to 16:9 once you get to the later years, nice touch
This was always my favorite track and I was completely gutted when it shuttered, thank you so much for putting this together.
Probably the best video I've seen in my life!!!! ❤
Holy shit man this deserves so many more views!! I would’ve never known about this awesome track and it’s such a tragic story but I’m glad you told the story.
The end almost made me cry. Huge thanks to you, man. Надеюсь, все мы найдём свою райскую трассу...
good dnb selection
More track history videos please!!!! These early drift history videos are great
So happy I came across this video, one of the biggest let downs is never being able to try it out myself. I’m glad to see others share the same feelings I do about this legendary place.
Im only part way through this but this is already fantastic dude, love the old camcorder your using. Can I also just say, The music choice is fantastic. Drum and bass is immediately what I picture to be over early 2000s drift comps and basically anything Japanese related. Such a good video.
Thanks for the research, info, and upload for Sekia Hills. Of course I've never been but my friends and I always love and have love for this track. So unfortunate it had to close.
Excellent writing and editing! 40 minutes flew by.
I'm 40. I grew up watching those video clips back then. Sekia Hills was infamous back then and only the coolest drift cars drove there.
I can say that you're very passionate just by how well explained the stories are. I'd love to see more in the future for something like this. Whether it could be a lore to how that kind of car style have influenced the worlds of drifting even nowadays, or just anything that you're so passionate about drifting. Anyways, thank you for covering Sekia Hills !
This is the best video about grassroots drifting in Japan I’ve seen in a long time.
Amazing work man!
Your music choice is fantastic and I'm so glad this video popped up for me!
great video man , i think the vx3000 channel will be loved for a long time
new favorite channel, i can appreciate the hard work that went into this video
annnnd, thats a sub. good ish looking forward too your next vid. we really do need more videos on the early culture of drifting.
the aesthetics and aspect of this is fucking amazing!!!
Man. I found this video because I saw the note in your Sekia Sessions playlist. How does this have such fewer views than that? I mean the music is great but this is a whole ass documentary. Great work man.
Dude, I'm a bit of a drift OG and I'm blown away by the depth and breadth of your research, brilliant edit and exquisite delivery. ❤ I learned a lot. Thank you so much for your dedication in covering the history of our passion!
amazing video. loved how you changed the camera quality and aspect ratio when you reached 2009.
bro the soundtrack of this video is amazing
What a great detail, you raised the resolution and aspect ratio as you went up in the years. Before I realized it, was through the whole 40 minute video.
Thank you for your astounding work, I literally found out about you a couple of days ago via the soundtrack you posted prior to releasing the documentary. The level of detail and immersion you managed to infuse into this masterpiece made me tear up towards the end, and even though I hadn't even heard of Sekia Hills before, it left me with a surreal sense of nostalgia and a longing to have experienced at least a fragment of that awesome community.
one of our favorite tracks an reasons why our cars look like they do!!
tearing up over this
awesome video, your passion for the presentation style and research really show
So many hours of work put into this, amazingg 💫
Fantastic video. I always loved Sekia Hills and building a track like this has always been my dream and goal. As a mid term drifter (10 years now) I can feel the sadness of the locals and friends seen this track go away.
I guess Sekia was doomed to failure since the begining. Located in a island far away from the mainland Japan, and a huge international circuit like Autopolis next door, I'm surprised it lasted so long.
My favourite driver was Hagisako. He was trully gifted and was very lovely. He struggle and drifted with his cool Silvia with Honda front and rear. So glad he at least managed the Blitz/Uras sponsorship but he always deserved a full D1GP pass. I can't imagine how expensive and complicate it was for someone like him to travel outside of Kyushuu and attend the D1SL events each year.
I still drift this track on my sim from time to time. Excited for this!
what an awesome video. such an underrated channel for such high production quality. i enjoy every second of it. glad you are telling everyone about this circuit and contributing to documenting this era of drifting culture.
All I can say is I didn't know this place even exsisted, and now at the end here I am wishing it did. Keep producing these videos they are amazing and I know myself and many others can't get enough of it. Thank you
As somebody who experienced something similar with a local track and drifting series, only for all operations to stop unexpectedly, this video hit different.
Live in the moment and be thankful for what you have. You never know when it'll be gone.
wow, this was a really good documentary. I loved every bit of it haha. thank you very much for this :)
Well done, this was such well researched! This really felt like a good documentary on something I didn't even know existed.
Great research/voice over and amazing vibes with the editing, music and using the old camera.
love the content my bro!! please keep uploading. my fav channel now. music hitting as well. im only 2
minutes in.
very well made doc bro!! love the parts where you see your personality shine through your humor
Really well edited and researched, good job dawg.
Also the 4:3 to 16:9 change was hard
Incredible video!! Seriously inspirational. Amazing work with this
Man, as I was watching this video I was thinking ‘I would love to visit this place one day..’ and by the end I literally had a tear in my eye. Amazing work, well done
dude I absolutely love the pace of this documentary; this is so rad
Amazing, super informative video. Thank you for making this, and please make more!!
OMG man! Much Love. My channel is dedicated to the culture during that era and earlier so this is close to my heart. Spent time out there after highschool in 94. Kyoto. Life changing however, car culture was lost on me at the time. Really missed out since I'm a JDM car owner and fan. Such Good work on this. I wanted to do something similar, for reaching sub goal, but I'm so glad I haven't yet. Thanks again! if you can, stop by the discord. It has some dust corners but you might dig the whole vibe there.
this is such an awesome video, awesome work on all the research and editing and stuff. makes me feel a great pain that i wasn't able to experience this place and era
Man, I really enjoyed watching this. Thank you for your hard work
Thanks for this -- Team Breaking
This was an excellent video my man! This really took me back... Thanks for all of this!
need more like this
I love the fact that you love jungle/drumnbass, big ups for that. Also car community stuff with old school jungle, skateboarding and VX1000 cameras? You are actually an american clone of me. Love your stuff man keep on going @vx3000 I also see you like IDM, you like boards of canada?
bruh i know nothing about drift culture whatsoever, but i am now in tears. incredible job, i will now raise money to rebuild sekia circuit
one of the best video iv seen in a long time
This is vibes ! I love the music and the approach to everything, keep this up !
this was an incredible video man, you have potential to become big someday. never giver up.
Man, what a great vid, love it a lot. I've been an on and off fan of overall driving sports, and lately have been a lot into some early 2000s events, and this vid really gets it all. Excellent Job!
that's a big ol subscribe from me. as a drift nerd who started driving in the late 2000s, this was a super cool and fascinating watch. great job!
Man this is so good, I used to love drifting this track on video games. Thanks for making this video dude!
Excellent work ! very well done and accurate info ! ~ very well edited as well, hope to see more soon man !
Thank you for making this video, I assume putting together this amount of information must have been difficult and I never heard of this place before. I really hope it goes big, this is the sort of stories the car community needs. It might sound absurd, but the fact there's next to no places where people can see cars as more than average commuters means there's a really small chance for people to discover this wonderful hobby of ours. Sure, cars might not be the same but I'm certain one could have an enjoyable car with a few basic mods. I seen people modify average hatchbacks, and they drive them hard, hah. One can hope.
Dude, thank you. I can only imagine the amount of work and research gone into this, but what a product. I loved it. I really hope that there will be more to come. Keep the flame alive!
ive literally came back to this video like 3-4 times
ok i love this y2k vibe of this vid and the huge research you put in it. thanks for all of this
Rally Kids INA & Sekia Hills were the most legendary tracks to ever be closed, this and Kunitomi Kartland. Sucks to see, but this was so well done! Awesome research
Appreciate the time you take for these new videos! Hyped for what’s to come and keep learning something new!
havent been this excited that a documentary is out in my life, great video and a great soundtrack too! keep doing these, love it!
amazing work! i absolutely loves this video and the effort you put into this is incredible, keep it up :)
Thanks for putting in so much effort to make this video it was amazing to learn about sekia
Haven't seen the video yet, but I'm commenting just to get those algorithm juices flowing
Dude I loved this thanks for sharing. It’s the little details you pulled into it that made it feel special. Keep it up Bo
i need more content like this on my recommended
Awsome video! You do a great job really telling the story. The amount of time, research and passion involved in this is amazing. Glad to have found your video and channel.
I learned about drifting in 2003, first event I watched life was 2004 D1GP/ JGTC at Fontana speedway. Your covering the best era of the sport!
Thank you for the video!
OMG this video is soooooooooooo good. Wild all the info you gathered on this. Absolutely amazing.
Amazing video dude, soundtrack was spot on!
Jesus christ this was incredible. I learned so much! Thank you for all the information! And excellent music choices!!
As someone who drifts, you're helping the culture
Wow, this was an amazing documentary. Very impactful towards the end. Glad I read someone to watch this under ur comments in another video of urs. NO RAGRETS 🎉
Dude, you need to continue making this "silly documentaries". The only thing I know about drifting is through Initial D and your video editing and style did almost bring me to tears.
Fuck, now I wanna drift in Sekia Hills 😭.
why am i crying rn
