The 100th time or so watching this technical marvel by Casio and artistic gem by this wonderful lady. I must leave a comment this time.🎉 Best version of this piece, if not, one of the very best.
Oh, my - that's a lot of notes to remember! It's hard for me to imagine the effort that went into learning and rehearsing that piece - in order to perform it so well... Thank you, Kateryna - for sharing your talent with the world. (I also appreciated seeing those sneakers working the pedals, as a visual reminder that I was listening to a human performing - not an angel.)
Ceci est la démonstration que les pianistes célèbres et célébrées ne sont pas seules à interpréter brillamment cette magnifique pièce de piano, félicitations Kateryna , que le succès t'accompagne...
Excellent performance in a wonderful digital piano, this amazing Casio 512!!!!!! I've no words enough to express my admiration for this couple!!!! Marvellous pianist in an excellent instrument!!!! My best sincere compliments from Italy!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌😊😊
I've heard 'em all on youtube - every version of this by famous people old and new, and by unknown people of modest ability. I think her version is my favorite!
How the keys bounce back... It looks a lot like a grand piano... I'm looking forward to testing one of those... maybe I don't need to buy a complete grand piano (and a new appartment for it) to have its mechanics at home.
whowww! casio made an awesome job with this hammered keyboard manufactured in collaboration with Bechstein. You can easily see the amortizization of keyboard when a not is pressed and then come back alone... There is a kind of vibration typically coming from the hammer mecanism.
Your Performance is On Par with Josef Hofmann....Bravo all the Way !!!!!....one little suggestion ...take a look at Rachmaninoff’s Footwear...He always liked heavy Black Boots for more control of the Pedals...that is perfect for your Instrument.....your Finger control is absolutely fabulous... when I received my Masters from Juilliard my teacher was the legendary head of The Juilliard Piano Faculty : Josef Raieff, he once told me this amazing anecdote. When he was a young Student he was taking a Piano Lesson with Alexander Siloti ( Rachmaninoff’s first cousin and teacher ). In the middle of the lesson there was a tapping on the door. Siloti was really upset if anyone interrupted a lesson. But the tapping continued and Siloti decided to go to the door...it was Rachmaninoff ! .....The 6’ 6”inch Rachmaninoff ran to a shocked 5’ 4” inch young Josef Raieff and apologized for interrupting the lesson.....Rachmaninoff said..... “. I must speak to my Cousin about a Tempo marking in a Concert that he Is conducting with me At Carnegie Hall tonight !!...would you mind if I take a moment with Mr. Siloti ? The mesmerized Josef Raieff could barely talk....eventually he was able to softly say......oh that’s fine ! imagine Rachmaninoff apologizing to you for interrupting your lesson....finally Rachmaninoff was leaving the Room and once again apologized to The young Josef Raieff......I almost fainted when I heard this. It shows you how respectful a Man Rachmaninoff was. His music is always pure Gold and so was he. That night Siloti Conducted Rachmaninoff and as always...they received magnificent reviews from all the critics.
A beautiful rendition. Thank you for sharing. I’d love to try out this piano and compare it to the Yamaha and Kawai hybrids which are much more expensive.
This is an absolute dream instrument and you can tell the cooperation with C. BECHSTEIN, the absolutely best manufacturer of pianos and grand pianos in the world, this sound is simply unmatched ... 🎹🎼🎵🎵🎶🎵🎶🎶🎵
Beautiful performance. *Wonderful sound.* This piano has very responsive keys. It's perfect for the short and double accords that she is playing. Also, she has nice shoes :) @1:33 Would be interesting to know which sound settings she used for this nice performance ?
Actually it is not only about responsive keys it was about curving of dynamic sound Roland KORG is not curve that sound is like go up down ladder but CASIO,YAMAHA dynamic it is like curve
I went to a music store yesteyand tried this. The action is definitely fantastic but the 3 flagship piano samples aren't tho. It did not produced the piano sound Casio's recording is uploading on UA-cam. I tried all of the 3 flagship samples in their 3 different modes. Still the same. I also tried it using my beats studio headphones and still did not sound as good as this recording.
@@Mrronren1 Because it is has smaller speaker. It was designed for big and louder speaker. I here in wedding party not so far from stage sounds that like a real wood piano from stage speaker
สิรภพ รุธีรยุทธ ok if that's the case I believe you. But what i was saying is played and used it already with and without headphones and it did not sound close to that recording. That's all i am saying. Since most of the pianist that are considering this model needs to know what they are getting. If you are already buying a hybrid piano, why spend another hundred dollars for a sound system if you can get a piano that has a nice speaker, action, and piano samples?
Adrian Fundescu But a Nord Grand, whilst it has a decent actions for a stage piano, is nowhere near the real grand piano action that this Casio has. There no way you could get the amount of control on the Nord that you would from this or the similar hybrids from Yamaha or Kawai.
@@ian757 "is nowhere near the real grand piano action that this Casio has" The Casio does not have a real grand piano action. "from this or the similar hybrids from Yamaha or Kawai." The Casio is not similar to the real hybrids from Yamaha and Kawai which actually have a real grand piano action inside.
I don't know through what kind of equipment they had mastered and recorded the output of that computer... Not even the Yamaha Transacustic digital pianos - that have real soundboard as speakers - don't sound that realistic. Is this a playback?
Based on the location of the tiny light that is barely visible just to the left of the keyboard, it appears she's using the Hamburg Grand (which I've been told is analog to digital samples from a Steinway). However, there are many variables that one can adjust in the settings to make the piano suit your needs. I think the style that you perform in will determine what tone to use. The Berlin Grand is a Bechstein grand (I think they put more work into getting the best Bechstein sampling to achieve a fantastic sound). I've seen similar Casio Grand Hybrid performances by accomplished pianists on UA-cam and, except for this performance, they all seem to be using the Berlin Grand.
@@robertbailey3024 makes sense, and yes the Hamburg setting is sampled from a Hamburg Steinway, I think we're conditioned to hear Steinway sounds in recordings and performances hence why the tone in this performance sounds more realistic than most of the other GP series performances.
Tried this piano yesterday in a music store and the action is definitely marvellous! The 3 flagship sounds aren't that good tho. It definitely did not sound like the one in the recording. I tried it with both headphones and playing using the actual speakers and still the same. The sound wasn't that good like the one in Casio's recordings.
Did you try with the acoustic simulator? I'm sure they are using the Sydney opera hall acoustic simulator on this one video, I am using that one on my videos with the Privia pxs1000 and can assure it changes the character of the tone
does the faster speed repetition (of the Casio GP510) than acoustic grand pianos make it more difficult to play advanced classical music on acoustic grand pianos??
@@ThePianoVault Thank you. How could I not think of this. :)) Professional pianists will understand what I mean. No matter how much forte we play, the explosion of sounds is not approved. The fortes explode on this record. The recording may be bad or the pianist may not have gotten used to the instrument yet. The correct key sensitivity may not be selected in the settings. The only truth is that some sounds are scratchy.
@@velisercanbahtiyar2579 I am a professional pianist. ;-) There is no 'truth' in musical preference (in my opinion). Only what we prefer. She may have selected her preferred setting.... and you may not like it... which is fine. There is no 'correct' key sensitivity. I hope you enjoy other performances that are more to your taste ;-)
@@ThePianoVault You are too sensitive. I am not criticizing the pianist. Next to me is a GP510. Unfortunately, there are such ridiculous problems with the defult setting, but with a set of settings, this can be avoided. The mechanism of the piano is near perfect, but the sounds and speakers have not done a good job at all. Buyers should know this. I am using a sound card with thunderbolt interface and various vst's for the least possible midi latency. The Hamburg Grand and Vienna Grand are utter nonsense, while the Berlin Grand is much brighter than a Bechstein. Not sampled well. More levels would be nice for key sensitivity. The piano has flaws.
