I bought this yesterday at Walmart. To test it, I held it underneath the exhaust pipe of my truck for 5 minutes...AND IT NEVER MADE A SOUND. Always test any CO detector you buy. You should not get your peace of mind from simply HAVING a product like this...you should get your peace of mind from knowing that it WORKS.

Well 2 things buddy first it will break it if you put it near your car it’s not meant to be put up to the pipe the exhaust is very hot
And it’s won’t respond between 4-15 min at 400 ppm for some reasons

You didn’t show how to turn the tamper switch to ON otherwise it’s not tamper proof. That is the only part I can’t figure out which you skipped past 🤦🏽‍♀️
