Just stumbled on to your channel now. Where in Portugal did or do you hunt. Is it on private land. And what are the name of your shooting sticks. Btw I’m based in Lisbon. Happy hunting.
Thank you for your comment. Im sorry but i dont remember the estate name. The Hunt was organized through Monteros de la Cabra. The shooting sticks are the amazing Viper Flex!👉💨
Dear Jacob, being a hunter in Portugal, I do understand your point of view on the way we display our animals. As you said in the footage it is tradition, and we try and keep untouched. In regard to the animals which are eaten by the dogs, normally we try to avoid as much as possible. The closest hunter, will always try to keep them away from the game, however it might happen. The agreesiveness of the dogs, mentioned is absolutely necessary, not really because of red deer but for the wild boar. As you experienced, the hunting grounds, are not clear from heavy bush, where the boars hide and fight the dogs. That is why on a dog pack, you will find the pointer dogs, who find the boars, and then the strong dogs who fight it if necessary. I do not know if you saw one hold down of a wild board by the dogs. It is a very dramatic scene, where the dog handler, or the closest hunter, approaches the dogs to kill the boar with the knife, just rellying on the dogs cooperation for keeping the boar held, as in many cases it hasn't been shot at all. Glad you enjoy it, and hope you can come over again. Thank you for the video promotion of our hunt.
I always found it weird how people can be so attracted to guns. If you like being out there in the nature that much, please try to do some trail running instead of killing animals

It is in the human natural instinct to hunt, so it is in no way weird at all.
