Just came here to say that the final book is my favourite. I can't believe a mystery series managed to keep me entertained the entire time through all 3 books. The last couple hundred pages of As Good As Dead was intense asf. That book was amazing, the story line was amazing, the ending was amazing, the mystery was revealed so perfectly. 10/10 ya trilogy. I can only hope that they don't butcher the show and the reveals are done well on screen. I hope Pip and Ravi's actors have real chemistry.
100% agreed The last 150 pages of the book were so intense and had my anxiety up and ABOVE almost crossing limits cause it was so terrifying and gut wrenching, I absolutely love pip and Ravi so so much, the chemistry we didn’t know we needed. Pip is really head strong cause I swear any other person in her situation would’ve just jumped off a building cause of the guilt. The roller coaster of emotions I went through was definitely not fun and made me so frustrated but then that was the whole point of it so, a great job at the writing and the word plays to describe the emotions, it was all perfect. I’ve heard people say they wished it was dual pov or had multiple povs, but that would take away from its essence because this story is about pip and you’re experiencing all of this through her first hand so it would’ve ruined it with multiple povs. For the series I’m keeping really low expectations, maybe even expecting disappointment because 97% of the time the series/movie versions of a book are never that good ESPECIALLY if you’ve read the book, but I do have faith in holly for doing a good job hopefully. So fingers crossed
the fact that indian guys like ravi doesn't actually exist in India makes me so angry 💀 been in India for 17 years and never found a guy like him istg!! I WANT MY RAVI TOO😭
"let's get married" made me want to throw up and just pass away because just AGHHHHHHHHH. This series made my friends think I need to be mentally evaluated-
@@ketakichivate6837 Well, I only read the first book. All of the characters lack personality and feel like mere name holders. Pip is like a shell through which we the reader experience the story. The book abandons everything that doesn’t have to do with the case. The case itself was alright but a little basic in terms of some of the “twists”. Yes, the first book’s very essence is a “solved” mystery, of course it would revolve around it, but it doesn’t just revolve around it, it becomes it. If you solely focus on that as a writer, once you reach the end of the book and the case has been more or less revealed, what does it have left to intrigue you to stick around for the next book? Surely the characters? But it’s pretty difficult to stick around for another book when you cannot care less for the main character because she lacks depth. She’s got a few characteristics and a brief backstory which I wouldn’t qualify as a “personality”. Benefit of the doubt then, maybe I would’ve considered sticking around for her and the guy’s (forgot his name) blossoming friendship/relationship, but the author missed out on an opportunity to make it more solid throughout the book. I’m definitely not meaning in terms of making them be together all in the first book, cause c’mon now, their circumstances for being partners are grim, so that’d make not much sense. But imagine it, some moment of bonding or commonality outside of the case. If this happened I don’t remember it, probably because it had no sway to it. A moment like it could’ve also given their characters a bit of depth. I don’t think that’s unrealistic to be possible. Basically just have me convinced that there’s something to want to care about there. I’m sure the second book may have opened the doors for that but I wasn’t banking on it being any better.
I JUST finished the last book and when I tell you the “le gasp” followed me all the time, I’m not lying. The insane plot twists. The way I was right about who was the DT Killer. The way Pip shattered so many times throughout the entire book. Her thoughts when she was kidnapped. The goodbye to her family, and ooohhh, the goodbye to Ravi 😭 I cried, cried, cried and cried. My chest was hurting when I finished it. Especially when she talked about Ravi while she was in Cambridge. I would definitely say As Good As Dead is my favorite book in this series. I was actually literally screaming crying throwing up while reading it. Madita, you’re not emotional for crying. You’re all of us. 😭
this is the most entertaining 24h readathon video i have ever watched and i have watched like every single one on this entire website i literally love u
IV EBEEN SAYING THIS SERIES IS SO GOOD FOR MONTHS! ITS SO GOODDDDDD ANHHH S GREAT ITS GETTING THEIR DESERVED RECOGNITION AND THIS SERIES IS TURNING TO A TV SHOW
I absolutely love the good girls guide to murder series and I started reading the shatter me series because of you and- I LOVE IT. I am currently reading the last book and I flew threw the series. It’s absolutely amazing. Warner- just thank you for recommending it. PS: love your videos.
just in case you don't know, there is also a prequel to the aqqtm series, kill joy, a shod read, but explains why Pip decided to investigate Andie's disappearance
I would say it's average, very short, follows a murder mystery party that Pipa attends, the plot is not as thrilling, but it is a great read if you miss the characters, especially Pipa
I just wanted to start Good Girl, Bad Blood just now. And then I saw your video again and thought "oh, lets just watch this video again". And for some reason it started exactly at the part of the second book
To be honest, I've had Good Girls Guide to Murder on my bookshelf for over a year now because I really didn't like it and just didn't want to read it any more. But thanks to your video I finally have the motivation to read it! Yayy
As good as dead was my favorite book in that whole series. I loved it so much and it still is special in my heart. Watching you read it made me what to read it again so bad. Btw Happy late birthday!
I've just finished a good girl's guide to murder today and I am obsessed with it right now * chef kiss*. I expected Naomi's dad was somehow involved but the second plot twist, it was like 🤧 crept me up.
I watched this video a while ago. I’m only now starting the Good Girls Guide to Murder series and so I barely remember all of your reactions, so I don’t feel spoiled. I just wanted to mention that from the very beginning, as I was reading this book, I picture you as Pippa. 😂❤ Edit: 3 days later- Finished the first book, and you’re reactions were very similar to mine 😂❤ 2 months later- finished the second book, was so confused and worried the whole time 😅 and then I sobbed and I hated the manipulation and lack of compassion of that one character 😭 I’ll come back after I finish the 3rd 🎉❤
This video makes me want to read this series so much Edit: I’ve just brought the trilogy and am planning to start reading today! Edit 2: I’ve read the first and second book Edit 3: omg I just finished the last one 😭
you convinced me to finish this series after a longggg break and now i can finally watch this vlog teehee (i am v unstable after finishing the third book, might never be okay again)
I read this series recently and it was a massive jumps scare when I realised I had the same name as the MC, especially since it's not a super common name. It definitely took me a while to get used to. Even hearing Pippa or the nickname Pip in the video had me flinching at first lmao its so strange 😭😭 anyways I loved this series!! Defiantly gonna be a reread.
As Good As Dead had me in tears and I'm still not over it! I read that book in October of 2023 and then in Deccember of 2023 I literally sobbed when I was randomly scrolling and saw "Hey Sarge, remember me" on an Instagram reel.
@@maditales haha I get it. I was just up until 2 a.m to finish a book, and then I woke up 5 hours later and proceeded to read 225 pages of another book 💀
i haven’t read the second two books but i literally read the first book in one sitting and i was 100% set on it being max and like i had about 100 pages left and i went and checked who it was bc i needed to no and i spoiled like half of it for myself 👍🏻 BUT ITS SO GOOD xxx
