Video and process super easy to follow...very clear...very casual..clean and uncomplicated with "mechanic" stereotypes and vain exaggerations of complexities...I appreciate that. It's nice to have a companion to the mindstate of casual interference operation...things could go wrong..but generally they won't and dont...as long as there's no part fabrication and you're prepared to assemble or disassemble your block and engine..it should go according to design and plan. Easier to watch learn listen and agree with.
When ya do the 90 degrees ya line wrench north south perfectly with the rod bearing to start then turn the bolt until it is perfectly lined up with the crankshaft east west .. this way all the bearings are perfectly torqued identically with east other ..
+Trey Clanton Hello again. I was wondering where you would recommend getting a woodruff key for the crankshaft. Also, would you recommend reusing the oil pump at 140,000 miles? Thanks
farm machinery fan I get any keys I need at a local auto parts/speed shop in my town. They have quite a collection. The first time I needed one I had to call round.
hello! thanks for the video! I don t manage to hear... what is the screwing torque you re putting on the connecting rods while assembling them with the shaft? thanks for your answer...
I mean you're half way through the rebuild it would be easier to just use a Dial Gauge on the Rods and crank and I can't see why you couldn't match the rod tolerances to the crank even though the rods are numbered it they are identical then install the pistons to the rods - I am not being a prick just thinking about this methodically
DUDE YOU ARE SUPER AWESOME FOR THE SERIES ON THE 3.7. You sir are an awesome instructor!!!!!

@@TreyClanton Thank you for replying and for the advice. It's really nice to see that you seem out to help people.

Ahta Belkessa Tighten the rod bolts to 20 ft-lbs of torque and then turn them a further 90 degrees. I hope that helps!
any sugestion on pcm programers? thanks!
Zeze Zeze I’ve never attempted to reprogram a PCM.
@@TreyClanton you do a great job!
did you leave the plasti-gage on the rod bearing?
I typically rub it off with a rag.
