I'm so glad you left this comment because I skipped past that part. My heart can't take seeing unnecessary destruction, which is what they've always done. It's so nice to know the cabinets were donated for once. I wish that would happen all the time.

This is definitely an old episode! Not only is the style they chose outdated for the market now a days, but they’re still married in this episode! I’m assuming this was done in 2010, in which the style was (unfortunately) well done for the time period
they managed to pull off a big tile job (floor).
It is 2023 and I like the style.

Great work, as always, but I wish they would NOT take the windows out of the bathrooms. It's MUCH better to allow for plenty of natural light in, esp. into a bathroom, helps with the mold problem, and you don't HAVE to turn the light on in the daytime. I would never buy any house without bathroom windows.
I can't stand when they skip how much they sold it for!

Christina seems so down to earth and reasonable in these earlier episodes. I’m wondering if her personality in the latter episodes is not real and only just for tv. Which given how reality tv is, i won’t be shocked by.
Nice that they reused the cabinets. They should do that whenever there is solid wood, old or not.
I wonder if even the old tiles could be recycled as well. I think they just like smashing things lol

As someone that studied architecture, I dislike the style they chose: extremely dark, busy, difficult to clean. All the carpets make the house look cheap and the bathrooms with tons of different patterns appear even smaller and cloaustrophobic. A pity, cause the building has an interesting layout and a beautiful garden.

Yeah, it was pretty bad, especially the dark cabinets. Carpet is tacky. What a shock to see it in such and expensive home. I've always HATED carpeted stairs.
Finally some nice dark warm and inviting colors, nice back splash
I like the Travertine tile, but in other houses they've said it was outdated, and ripped it out!

This is an old episode because they evolved to "everything gray and white" with some wild black and white pattern tile thrown in...navy/white exterior, but they did the usual open-concept first floor. Too bad since the first kitchen looked better/more high end than the second, and open concept is not practical to keep looking nice. A single coffee cup left out on that open kitchen counter ruins the visual from the point of opening the front door. Anyway they're multimillionaires and I'm not.
Good...they didn't bash up the perfectly sound cabinets like usual, but, instead, donated them to Habitat for Humanity.
I don't envy the homeowner who has to clean all of the Travertine tile in the house because it's porous and hard to take care of. I think it's the reason Travertine has gone out of style. It's very beautiful, but impractical.

The original kitchen was lots prettier than the new one . The cabinets were beautiful .

I have noticed that the properties that T & C flip don't have curtains or blinds. New owner's responsibility? Is this the way it works in the US?
On renovated homes, yes. New homes, yes. It gives the buyers the opportunity to pick out their own window coverings

Wow first house I've seen them do a house that looks bad, the vanity's are hideous poo colour and all the dark wood? That will sooooo not apeal to the mass market

It's sickening how they just destroy things. Tarek even said that the kitchen had been recently redone. They could have carefully removed things and donated them.

i dont care how old this is, i m disgusted! a brand new kitchen, instead of changing doors and adding to it, they got rid of it. Same goes for railing, why not spray it blk? and what they installed is "trendy" for that tiime and now everybody is taking this curly stuff out. i hate the shower tile, looks puki in there even though its gorgeous in kitchen and love those floors.

This style seems outdated and dark to me, and awfully busy. At least, there wasn't the usual ugly tile, and gray everywhere. Guess Tarek finally fired Christina from the show. Good! Look at the way she tried to take over and shut him up! Maybe now we'll get a man or woman partner who actually KNOWS something besides dye, false eyelashes, and rubber.
