Unh-Hunhh...had to do you a Lil 'git-down' before you got serious with the rod n reel...COOL! I've been fishing both types of water for nigh on 65 years, and with the kind of fishin' you do with the Bluegill, I take the smaller ones and run a filet knife on both sides from the tail to just under the gills, down to the bone. This gives 'em a butterfly effect when they hit the water and drives the Bass crazy. Good Luck!
@@HK2PRODUCTIONS Thank You Sir!!! This is the type of video worth watching. A 'Good Man' out with nature, leaving the worries of the world on the other side of the road. Unlike train wrecks, car crashes and folks bitchin' about everything on all of the other videos...You, Sir...got it going on!!!
I live in Raleigh, near Anderson point park, and Neuse river trail, I am new to fishing, I have been trying to find a fishing spot at the Neuse river trail or the crabtree creek trail to go fishing.
River fishing can definitely be fun. It's getting hot out there. That's my time of year though. lol I can't handle the cold anymore. I just bring lots and lots of water when it gets hot. You're fishing the Neuse river, you can't be that far from me. It starts about an hour to the east of me in Raleigh and runs to the coast which is probably about 2 hours away or so.
Hey Bobby, I grabbed the poles (because of you) this morning right at day-break and headed to the lake. Came home with 6 nice, thick & fat Bluegill that were some of the biggest I've seen in a long time. After pulling in the 2nd one at over 1- lb. apiece, I decided that Mr. Bass ain't getting any of 'em. Back to the house with a pot of collards (fat-back too), cornbread and hot sauce, and man let me tell you something.
Awesome! I wish I could find a bank like that by New Bern. I’ve wanted to do the bass thing forever. Most everyone here, including myself goes for the saltwater species.
Awesome fishing man! What bridge was this so I can toss my split shot around a little extra as I creep thru in the kayak. Also bottom fishing on the neuse is a night time only thing for me even in the winter. First two hours of dark is prime time to have half a blue gill or gizzard shad on a circle hook. I'm on the neuse once a week trying my luck.
I live in raleigh and cant seem to find any good fishing areas or either I'm just bad. Just started about a week ago and caught only 2 bass. Would you be willing to go fishing with me one day? Or show me some spots? I will give you money if you need and I also just catch and release.
@@HK2PRODUCTIONS I've actually been looking on google earth. I think I have bad luck. I havent caught anything the past few days and I've been driving to different lakes and ponds that it says are great for fishing. 😔
@@HK2PRODUCTIONS I was thinking about making youtube videos but that's hard with no catches lol if you ever want to go fishing let me know as I'm in the Raleigh area as well. Thank you for your advise as well. I appriciate any help I can get

Maaaaaaaan I’ve been fishing this river for 4 weeks and haven’t even had a single bite 💀 not artificial bait nor live bait.
Kill Adam sometimes they bite more when the temperatures are in the 80’s that seems to work for me thanks for subbing and watching
